I just paid money to endure more insults!

I just donated to DU.

And I just made my third donation to Senator Clinton, too. Let me tell you about that donation. I was in a basketball pool with a few people (Obama supporters). I won the pool. I told the person who ran it I was going to donate my winnings to Hillary, since we'd been chaffing back and forth for a couple of months (he is always sending me emails that he KNOWS bugs me - telling me who Edwards MUST endorse, telling me who I MUST support - yes, he says MUST - I don't initiate any to him, BTW).

I received an email telling me Obama was going to win. He cc'd his friends, all Obama supporters. I emailed back "to all" (as I sometimes do when someone sends me unsolicited email that I don't want and includes a bunch of other people). I got more emails from Obama supporters. I pushed back - one guy ended up being pretty nice, we chatted online, and we agreed to disagree.

In the meantime, I didn't get my money. I had to ask him three times! It wasn't much, but it was from the NCAA pool, so it was a while ago. It really bugged me that I had to keep asking him, but I don't think it was fair of him to keep sending me his opinion pieces in the meantime.

I'm not telling this story to say that Obama supporters all over are withholding NCAA pool winnings from Hillary supporters - that would be silly! - but just to let you know, it is a tough and dogged position to be in sometimes. And the more someone tells me I MUST do this or that - the less likely it is that it'll happen.
