Technically, I'm not here
Edited on Sun May-18-08 03:07 AM by FlyingSquirrel
(So pretend you don't see me)

But I have this ongoing project that I can't seem to let go of, and I don't have anywhere else to display it.

Methodology in previous posts:

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/FlyingSquirrel/18
http://journals.democraticunderground.com/FlyingSquirrel/21

Obama 274, McCain 264 (May 17)
McCain 290, Obama 248 (May 7)
McCain 281, Obama 257 (April 17)

McCain 291, Clinton 246 (May 17)
McCain 307, Clinton 231 (May 7)
McCain 297, Clinton 241 (April 17)

It's been a pretty good ten days for both candidates. Clinton has finally brought WA and NM into her column. Obama has retaken NM, and more importantly has nudged PA into his column. Guess they're over "bittergate". ;)

And for the first time since I've been doing this, one of the two is finally leading McCain in EV's.

:woohoo:

2. I take back everything I said about your classy exit

:P

Seriously, thanks for the good news. :toast:

On edit: Just to add a little hopeful magic to your methology: NH WILL be blue in November. The Jeanne Shaheen and Carol Shae Porter are going to rally their bases to win their contests and carry the state for Obama.

5. Love this. And the best part: it is a CONSERVATIVE prediction.
I also believe Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, North Carolina and Virginia are also in play. Obama will surely pick up a couple of those states.

8. 274. There's our electoral victory.
Without FL or OH ... or VA even, all of which are definitely in play this Fall.

Sweet.

Obama has the "Big MO"!

10. The polls I have seen for NC
have been even with Obama and McCain to McCain with a 3 point lead. I think this is significant because the polls have under counted the college age vote, so Obama could really be ahead here, but it not show up in polling. The example I like to use is national polls on the Clinton/Obama race showed the race closing into single digits right before the vote but the final total was a 16 point Obama victory.
