We really don't have any idea what it will take for Hillary to concede it's over....do we? |
|
Only Hillary knows.
She has made it abundantly clear that she is in it till June 3rd.
Will the credentials (or is the rules) committee meeting on May 31 regarding the DNC FLA/MI mandates change anything?
When we hit June 4th and all the scheduled primary contests are over will it change anything?
Even if enough delegates declare for Obama to put him over the DNC magic number of 2025 to win, will it change anything?
All the rants on DU about 'knowing when it call it over' for the good of the party (mine included) offer not a clue as to what Hillary thinks from within the walls of her campaign.
We really don't know.
And even if Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi joined in unison with John Edwards recent endorsement of Barack Obama, that may not matter.
Has anybody ever heard Howard Wolfson or Hillary herself offer up any specific benchmark that they will use to determine the end game?

1. Its reached a point where her refusal to concede is becoming a sad joke |
|
She's really damaging her image by acting like this.

2. As far as I am concerned it should be at the convention. |
|
If the ballots choose Obama, then I am satisfied. I'll vote Obama. She's won too many votes to give up before then. If she's forced out before then, I will certainly re-evaluate. Obama will have to campaign for my vote, not earn it automatically.
Let the convention be a convention, not a celebratory party.
Going to the convention also gives her the opportunity to push forward her health plan as a plank going forward.

6. That may not be the number. |
|
It depends on the FL/MI agreement. They may not seat the supers from those states, that would change the number. \
But, even when he reaches that, which he will long before Hillary get anywhere near it, I could see her saying, "Delegates can switch. Not until their vote is cast is it over." and then, "Convention rules are not democratic" and on and on......

9. You don't know that. There are several options |
|
including not seating them at all, cutting them in half, dropping supers in the states, etc...

the magic number, she all but has to.
At this point, Clinton should stay in until he does so. It may happen tommorrow..if not then in two weeks.

10. I think she is in it until the convention. I worry that she will file a lawsuit against the DNC and |
|
totally wreck our chances.
