"With Puerto Rico, there will be no question she'll be leading in the popular vote." |
|
Sorry, but this bit of HRC supporter math was too good to not have its own thread.
Remember, the road to the White House goes through Puerto Rico!
How Puerto Rico goes, so goes the rest of the nation!
Puerto Rico never gave any electoral votes to any Republicans *evah*! So it's a solid lock for November.
Feel free to add your own mockery below.

7. They are American citizens to whom Democrats have given a voice. |
|
If Puerto Rico were enfranchised in presidential elections, it would be an easy 10 or so reliable electoral votes for Democrats.

9. Enfranchised? They're not a state. |
|
Not that we couldn't use another reliable Democratic constituency, but they have to become a state to have electoral votes.

10. The idea that PR would count more than caucus states is a teensy bit bizarre. |
|
And the SD's aren't buying it.
It's over.

16. Nothing at all.....but let's not pretend that PR will put Queen Hillary over the top for anything |
|
She's already lost the delegate race, which is the only one that counts in the primaries
She will lost the popular vote, meaningless in the primaries as it is
Puerto Rico does not have electoral votes in the GE, so there goes that Hillbot argument

19. Well, since some of my family is Puerto Rican, don't even play that shit on me |
|
and as for Dems Abroad -- I am currently one, so so much for that crap, too.
The point is that it is ridiculous to make this 'electability' argument based on a voting area that has *NO* electoral votes.
