If she said they were piling on when she was winning - because of winning and not sexism - then why would anyone pile-on when someone is losing?

Sounds like a different story because she is losing or lost.

MANCHESTER – Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said yesterday her male opponents "piled on" during a debate this week in Philadelphia because of her front-runner status, not her gender.

"I don't think they piled on me because I'm a woman," she said in an interview. "I think they piled on me because I was winning."

She said she expects similar incidents will happen "again and again and again" now that the campaign has entered what her campaign calls a "new phase."

Clinton said she will run "as positive a campaign as I can" in the final run-up to the New Hampshire first-in-the-nation presidential primary and the Iowa caucus. After one more policy rollout -- on energy and global warming policy next week -- she will go "retail, retail, retail," she said.
