Can someone explain to me exactly what Clinton thinks she can do on May 31st? |
|
Sincerely, I don't understand the strategy of this "nuclear option". What does she do if the rules committee doesn't go her way? Does she hold her breath or something?

2. Goes to the credentials committee right before the convention |
|
Edited on Wed May-21-08 06:58 AM by 4themind
If she doesn't get her way there, still force a minority report out of the committee, for a floor vote at the convention. Entire delegation needs to decide to either let in two states who broke the rules and give a perhaps perceived F U to the other 48+ that did. And regardless of who wins we'll have little more than 8 weeks before the election , which if history over the past 40 years for EITHER party is a guide, will spell doom regardless of who wins, but one person may be too deluded to even recognize that risk, let alone weigh it. So now do you see what she could do if she decides to? It's a lot worse than her holding her breath

If she does this and we do lose the GE; a lot of people have longer memories than Hillary thinks they do.

12. She's said on many occasions that this is.... |
|
exactly what she's going to do. Notice her victory speeches in WV and Ky, she made a BIG point to say SHE will make sure Florida and Michigan are seated at the convention.
Oh, she's takin' it to the convention. No doubt in my mind at this point.

16. This is about 2012 for her now |
|
she wants to destroy Obama as a candidate and get him out of the way for her 2012 run. What the deluded egomanic doesn't get is that she has lost well over half of the Democratic party with THIS run, unless she's planning on running as a Republican in 2012, she's screwed. I'm very tempted to say, "let her" but I love my country too much to see McCain elected president in 2008. She needs to be shut down now for the good of this contry, the Democratic party needs to step up and tell her "no".

20. Realistically, I think that the flood of SDs flocking to Obama will eliminate NE1's doubt about ... |
|
whether Obama will be the nominee. Far more likely is will she try to force herself on as Obama's running mate, even if Obama prefers someone else (as I believe he should?-- but another WOMAN, so that we'd have a woman on a WINNING GE ticket!)

22. Why does she think she is entitled to do these things? |
|
I had no problem with her or Bill on January 1, 2008. I didn't really like the time warp back to the 1990s platform that she was campaigning on, nor the idea of Bush - Clinton - Bush - Clinton, but as a person she seemed alright. Now every time I watch one of her "victory" speeches I have hatred for her like I do for Bush. She is making up her own reality just like Bush did/does and using the same "I'm a uniter not a divider" strategy.

|
Go out dancing with Bill? Enjoy a barbecue with family and friends? Read a book?
Please share with us what you would like her to do. No doubt your answer will be based on Obama's desire for UNITY.

8. I think she should suspend and support the presumptive nominee |
|
If she wants to try the parlor tricks on the convention floor then so be it but it's up to her to help build party unity at this point. I was sincerely asking about the procedure, not trying for flamebait.

Obama supporters have made me rather Pavlovian. I see one of their posts and I reflexively growl. They should be so proud.
I have every confidence of a Big (D) victory in November regardless of what Obama or Clinton do in the next three months.

9. Rogue Leader Hilliary Is Forcing Obama To Meet With Her To Appease Her....... |
|
in order for him to win the Dem nomination. Then the Repugs will be able to use that appeasement of Hilliary to say - this is what happens when one meets with 'rogue leaders'. Obama goes on to lose the GE because he can't defend this appeasement. Hilliary comes back in 2012 to run again.

13. If the rules committee doesn't go along with her new math, |
|
I fully expect a court challenge. That, IMHO, would be hilarious. She would have to explain why she signed the statement disenfranchising voters at the beginning of the campaign, but now wants those same voters included now that it favors her.

dayum.
I dunno. My guess would be backroom threats and/or bribes, because LEGALLY, they don't have a case.
