I'm really sick of the hypocrisy |
|
I'm voting for the nominee, whoever it is. And anyone else who's ALSO voting for the Dem ticket, no matter what, has perfect standing IMHO to criticize. But I'm sick and tired of the hypocrisy of the Obama supporters who think that it's FINE to lecture Clinton folks about "letting go of hatred" and "uniting the party"...and yet have NO problem swearing that THEY'LL stay home if Obama chooses her as the VP.
If you won't vote for an Obama/Clinton ticket, you have no right and no credibility to criticize Clinton supporters for refusing to vote for an Obama/Not-Clinton ticket. A stance like that is nothing more and nothing less than blatant and bigoted hypocrisy.
It has nothing to do with "liking" it. I assure you, I don't LIKE the idea of voting for someone that I feel is a sure loser. But I'm going to suck it up and do it anyway, because I'm not arrogant enough to think that MY precious little feelings are somehow more important than the fate of an entire nation full of people. My vote likely won't matter (I'm in West Virginia) but I'm going to try anyway.
For those who are willing to put their own grudges aside and vote for the Dem ticket, thanks ahead of time for being mature. For those who aren't--at least have the common decency to refrain from hypocrisy here. Every time you post your toxic crap about how you won't vote for ANY ticket that includes Clinton, the ONLY thing you accomplish is to make it FAR more difficult for those of us who are SANE to unite the opposing sides and get them behind the Dem ticket. It's hard to tell them not to be selfish when the other side has no qualms whatsoever about being as selfish as they please.
Flame away, whatever. I just had to say my piece.

8. Perhaps that was the comment that landed them on Tyler's ignore list. Genius. |

Apparently your fondness for the "rolls eyes" smilie is less of an editorial comment, and more of a self-portrait. That would explain a lot.

Just clapping wasn't enough.
The Obama Camp and their grave dancing (in advance, yet) plus their "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER"/"YOUR CANDIDATE SUCKS: ADMIT IT!" attitude is doing more to alienate the 1 of 16 Clinton Supporters (that are the number that if the lose them, WE lose the election) than the hole damned nasty election.
If they keep setting fire to the bridge, they might as well dynamite the foundations while they're at it.

9. No flames from me! Just Bravo! |

I've been trying to say the same thing...but no one seems to listen. The board is as full of Anti-Hillary posts as usual. They just don't learn.
It sure would make it easier to support Obama if it wasn't for the posts and attitudes on this board and the whole internet...and the Media!

to offend or antagonize any supporters of Clinton. I am just outraged at how in light of everything this ruthless senator from NY can claim she truly cares about my vote in florida. I got over my anger with the regards to the primary. I realized our legislature not the party was to blame for creating this fiasco. I also realized months ago it was OUR REPUBLICAN LEGISLATURE AND GOVENOR IN FLORIDA THAT MADE THIS SITUATION. This crap with the Repubs has been going on a long time. We in Florida need money to unseat and turn over the legislature back to democratic hands. We don't need a national candidate crying what are crocodile tears over our plight.
No one stood up for our 2000 election recount. No one stood up for the 16000 undervote in our 2006 congressional race. So why now? why do you care about our voting rights now? Why didn't you care then?
We knew going to the polls the legislature in essence fucked us. We were showing up to vote for property tax issues that are hemorraging us. the presidential election was a beauty contest. We knew it then, We know it now. So why are you so interested in a state internal politics. Why didnt you protest this past december? Why did you sign pledge stating it was a beauty contest and you would not campaign?
I will tell because at the time we didn't count !
