Quit worrying about the VP choice, Obama supporters |
|
Barack is a smart man.
It's why he's risen so far, so fast.
He has sound judgement.
He has hired the best and brightest.
When the time comes, he'll make his VP choice.
You've trusted him all along. You've seen the man of character that he is.
He wants to win in November... and he wants to be able to effectively govern after he wins.
He knows that Hillary Clinton as VP makes neither of those goals as likely.
Which is why he won't do it.
The Clinton-is-44 holdouts that still hang out on this board will keep pushing it. But believe me, it's falling on deaf ears.
Obama will sink or swim with a VP choice that is a partner, not an adversary. He will choose someone he (and we) can trust.
Hillary knows it will not be her. She's smart too. It's why she's begun to go scortched earth. She has to burn the house down, in order to have a new one built to order for 2012.
And make no mistake... she is going to try to burn that house down.
But we are Obama's army.
...and we won't let her.

4. God, no. There are sooooo many better choices. |
|
Clinton would be an anchor...and her behavior and statements in this campaign have made her worthless as his VP.

6. He's smarter than you and most of the media |
|
He understand that he doesnt need to pick hillary to reach those voters he is having issues with. They aren't necessarily Hillary Democrats. He can find other VP's to reach those people (Jim Webb).

7. Re-read the OP. He wants to WIN. and he wants to be able to GOVERN. |
|
Hillary severely harms the first goal..... though intelligent people can disagree.
Hillary AND Bill make the second goal damn near impossible. Nobody with a brain can disagree with that. Having Hillary and Bill inside the West Wing will be suffocating and make governing impossible.
The circus that follows Bill around will be a distraction of epic proportions that will make it impossible for Obama to lead.
Even if she COULD help him win... it would be a "victory" in November that would turn into 4 years of defeat.
The only way that an Obama administration can succeed is to cut itself completely free from the Clinton/DLC influence.
It's a cancer.
