Hillary needs to tread lightly here...
...we all know the old adage "hell hath no fury etc, etc"...and it is glaringly obvious to most that Hillary is behaving like the poster child for that maxim right now...but at some point she will need to check her ego and start to think more calmly and rationally...if she continues to insult the Rules Committee by suggesting that anything OTHER than a full counting of the FL and MI primaries will be a deliberate disenfranchisement of the voters there (conveniently skipping over the fact that she agreed ahead of time WITH the rules committee that those votes would indeed NOT be counted)...if she continues to have her minions threaten a floor fight at the Convention...if she continues to spin, lie and manipulate the facts about votes, delegates and claims to the nomination...she will not only harm the party and the Party's Presidential Nominee...but she will have forever tarnished her political career and her reputation...

The longer she hangs on and shrilly proclaims to one and all that the Democratic Party is disenfranchising voters and that at the very least the republican party doesn't do that, the longer she parades around floating illogical and irrational mathematical scenarios dreamt up by the Prince of Darkness, Karl Rove, himself as a reason as to why she should stay in the race, the longer she refuses to accept that simple fact that she got out-campaigned, out-planned and out-fund-raised by a rookie Senator with big ears and a funny-sounding last name, the more she will actually play into all of the nasty stereo-types that will inevitably be floated by the gop if she succeeds in using the "nuclear option" and steals the nomination away from the rightful winner, Barack Obama.

She will have become the right-wing's dream of an unhinged, divorced-from-reality, unstable, vicious, vindictive, spiteful, jealous, post-menopausal, emotionally fragile woman that should not be allowed ANYWHERE near a toaster oven, never mind the nuclear football...

She will have succeeded in splitting the party in half, and as her claws frantically sink deep into the dying carcus of the pathetic DLC-centrist-appeaser half of the party as it sinks below the waves of voter apathy, the progressive, liberal, democratic wing of the party will simply float off in search of a new home, a new champion and a new way forward. In the meantime Senator McCain will sit perched on his throne in the WH personally gilded by Senator Clinton's petty jealousy and outright refusal to admit defeat. And of course, NONE of this will be her fault.

Senator Clinton, Ma'am, here's how this all pans out. You get to campaign in the remaining primary states, even though you will lose two thirds of them. You get to accept whatever the rules committee tells you they will offer you as compromise (1/2 the delegates seated, all of the uncommitted votes in MI go to Senator Obama). You get to "suspend" your campaign as the champion of the "disenfranchised voters" and then you get to loudly and vocally trumpet your support of the Presidential Nominee, Senator Barack Obama, and then you get to exit the stage with your head held high.

But please be warned Ma'am, if you don't, and if you DO somehow manage to finagle your way onto the top spot on the ticket, be advised that after you shatter the party, and after McSame strolls into his new residence at 1600 Penn. Ave and as you slink back to your seat in the Senate, your political career will be over. Done.

You see, if you piss off the MAJORITY of the people that have voted in these primaries by stealing the nomination you will never, EVER be elected as a Democrat again.

Anywhere.

Senator Clinton, I urge you to leave gracefully, with poise, and with speed. The longer you hang around, the more it begins to smack of ego, and the more your reputation, and that of your husband, becomes diminished. The party is over, don't be the one that has to be asked to leave...

1. The Clinton campaign evokes Florida circa 2000, and not in a good way.
They are becoming now what we loathed then.

11. Being post-menopausal adds to one's mental clarity
Doubt whether that was the factor behind her lack of planning, though.
