What is Hillary's evil intent in invoking the assassination? |
|
people are talking like it's obvious. It's not to me.
How does it help her from her point of view?

1. At the very least, it's insensitive |
|
I've gone canvassing in black neighborhoods and met older black women who say they pray for his safety...I've met people who are afraid to vote for him because they are afraid he'll get assassinated. I am not going to accuse her of having a malicious motive, but at the very least, her comments were highly insensitive.

5. I didn't like when bittergate got misconstrued and blown out of proportion |
|
So I am trying to be consistent here. I don't think one gaffe should be the end of anyone's career.

3. If you're predisposed to believing the spin on this, you will likely believe it. |
|
This is true hysteria in our political discourse. And Axelrod is riding this wave in order to pressure her to drop out a week early.
I find THAT even more despicable.

10. And Hillary had Bosniagate, etc. |
|
This is tit-for-tat.
And what's up with this loose use of the word -gate? What a simplistic way of looking at a campaign!

It's disgusting.
But, of course you know that. Hillary supporters are the most delusional bunch of people in this country.

12. What else did you think she meant? |
|
She needs to stay in the race because...you never know, presidential candidates are assassinated sometimes. That's a horrible thing to think, and to say it aloud is worse. She's admitting being the president is of such monumental importance to her that she'd gladly take it wearing a dead man's shoes. Despicable.

13. Of course, honest people will say that. |
|
But it was stupid. Very stupid. No two ways about it.
And like bittergate and everything else in this worst of all primary seasons, this will resonate.

7. There was no evil intent . |
|
She was just providing examples of past campaigns that lasted until early summer. It was nothing more than that. She should have used a different example but there was no wrong.

Why did she embellish Bosnia when it was a good story on its own merits?
I see this as just a stupidly insensitive slip, I can't imagine why she thought this would help her. But she has done dumber things, like voting for the IWR without reading the NIE.

11. Simple - she's staying in the race just in case... |
|
"something" happens to Obama. It helps her rationalize staying in.
"Whatever it takes to win."

14. Hardball question for Hillary |
|
Can anyone tell us reasons why a political candidate would invoke assassination as a reason to continue running in a race which there is no mathematical way of winning possible?

15. well let's see, shall we? since mz clinton likes to invoke history- |
|
the song helter-skelter made manson go on a spree
elijah muhammad called for the death of malcom x, then bang (x100)
tom metzger, with nothing but "just words", STILL mobilizes a grip of skinheads to commit all manner of atrocities against gays, jews, "the Blacks", even YOU if you fail their visual criteria-
i mean, a fucking MOVIE made hinkley shoot reagan
who knows what, made chapman shoot lennon?
what death metal rocker was behind columbine?
it doesn't take much to stir up zealots and crazies, ok? bin laden makes videos, and towers fall- remember that?
and to be honest? if i believe what i see? some of the internet clinton fans seem a little suspect, and very easy to influence (to me @ least)
she's trying to get the reigns to the most powerful office in the world (arguable) she needs to show some sort of degree of restraint, and consideration of every word that comes out of her
that's just how i see it
