Will the media call her on it? Will she become damaged enough to finally end this charade? Stay tuned.

I think she will get a pass. I beleive one of her supporters here on the day she made the statement, said word was out that she was crying about it. If that is correct, then everyone will probably be appoligizing to her for being offended by her remark. They will probably be calling for Obama to apoligize for being the candidate most affected by it. ;)
Sorry, I just don't take the MSM seriously any more. It is a joke. I want the MSM that we had in the sixties back, you know when they had investigative journalism and when you watched/read the news, that is what you got. My son is a journalist, and he agrees with me.

I find that hard to imagine.... not doubting you, just finding that image hard to conjure up in my mind...
If she was that truly upset, then I do retain a slight hope for her character. But then again her non-apology-apology kind of indicates that she was upset more about what this was doing to her, than out of regret for what she had done to others.
I don't know. I just so desperately want this to be over.

I believe, and I hate to post an opinion here, that the poster was saying she was crying because of the problem it had caused for her. If I am correct, they were implying that we all should be nice about it because she was upset by it, and this was just too punishing to her. I don't know, there were so many posts yesterday with so much emotions in them that it is hard to say for sure.
I don't know what her problem is, but I tried to say yesterday that if she had only said this was an error then all she had to do was come out and apologize for making a mistake in her word use. Of course, Obama did that with the "bitter" comment and look at how well she accepted his apology. Well, anyway...I don't care for Hillary, not going to lie about it, but the MSM let her get by with this at least twise before (I actually think it was more times than that but with different people, MLK and JFK) and did not call her on it. Now they say that this is enough. If they had been on her case the way they were with Obama, she would have been called on it months ago. There are more things too that should have been addressed, but I will leave them unspoken for now.

67. Well, now that does make more sense,,, |
|
and I can easily imagine her being upset at the hoopla and what it meant to her candidacy. And I am in complete agreement with you otherwise as well... if she had done the decent thing and apologized in a real way, then it would have been accepted and pretty much died out. But it is her stubborn refusal to fully accept blame and act with grace... coupled with the stark contrast of how she treated Obama... that has caused this to continue to flare. All that said, I think most of the press is still giving her an easy road on this one. Can you imagine if Obama had said something about.. oh, maybe rape or something? Whew... it doesn't even bear thinking about..
Please, for the love of humanity.. just let it end!

A lesson to anyone who will listen. When you accuse all desenters of the same thing, the accusation loses it's power. Everyone who doesn't like Hillary is not a sexist, just as everyone who doesn't like Barack is a racist. If they refuse to vote for him because of his race, or because they hold on to the notion he is Muslim (in ignorance), then they are a racist.
