Hillary just wasn't raised right |
|
Today she blames Obama for her statements.
She hates being taken out of context, yet most of her Pennsylvania campaign was about taking Obama's remarks out of context and calling him "elitist".
In claiming the necessity of counting all the votes, she excludes 4 states from that metric while including Michigan (and zero Obama votes) in the name of "fairness".
I have never, ever seen a Democrat so brazen about twisting other people's words and yet upset that she is a victim of the kind of treatment she dishes out fairly regularly (treatment she doesn't approve of if she faces it).
What's worse is Hillary seems to be upset when she is quoted accurately and those quotes, even in their context, make her look bad.
I suspect if we were raised right, our mothers would not approve of such behavior.
But maybe I'm just old fashioned, though Obama has shown me that manners can work in politics.

1. Victimhood is a political card she plays |
|
It allows her to get away with vitriol.
Just imagine if she had run as a real person instead of as a long string of brands and stances and soundbites and negatives, she might actually have won this.
She has only herself to blame.

Edited on Mon May-26-08 01:28 AM by smalll
Don't go there. Just. Don't. Go. There. Don't raise the question of parenting while supporting Barack Obama, particularly in the context of mothers. Let's just say there's a reason why Barack may have issues with white people, and let's leave it at that.

40. I think what you are getting a whiff of |
|
is the stench of entitlement which quite a few of her supporters have that mentality as well. It's evident in their arguments as most have no problem saying she should win because she is a woman. Also the way some of them go after Michelle Obama for her proud of American comment. Most of them know what Michelle meant but their wiliness to take it out of context is crazy. You see the entitlement in those who make statements such as " I worked hard for this country and Michelle should be proud of that" Really, thinking that their hard work should make a complete stranger proud when they have no idea what that persons life experience has been like. It is crap like that that will make you wonder just how in the hell did these people grow up? You know shit is not handed to you because of your last name and not everyone had it as good as you did growing up. That is the difference between Obama and Clinton. They broke their backs trying to paint Obama as the entitled one because they knew that was all Hillary. Anyone who will lie over and over again and then have the nerve to shrug it off like she did has issues with entitlement. It seems she thinks we should forgive and forget anything she does because she is A. a woman, B. a Clinton. Look at how she has a majority of the Super D's going into this race. I don't know if she was raised with manners but if I had to guess I would guess no.

51. I don't think Hillary has a very positive sense of self- |
|
and those who raise us influence this.
Hillary's father is recalled by everyone (including Hillary herself) as never being satisfied with her. When she brought home straight A's his reply was that the school must be pretty easy.
Children need to know they are "good enough" just as they are. It is one thing to challenge our kids to do their best- it is another to never show genuine acceptance and unconditional nurturing love.
Despite his challenging life- I believe Obama was raised knowing he was loved- and that he 'measured up'.
peace~

|
Edited on Mon May-26-08 02:47 PM by polichick
Her father is depicted as someone impossible to please who rarely praised Hillary for her successes, just expected her to do more. And her mother is shown as the one who said "there's no room for cowards in this family" when Hillary came to her about the neighborhood boys not letting her play. Hillary went back outside and took them on.
imo she's still trying to please a cold father, placate an abusive husband and fight like the boys.

But it also showed how ruthless she was during Bill's campaigns ~ flying into attack mode when Gennifer Flowers came on the scene in a way that shocked the historian who was in the room with her.
I think HRC will crash and burn ~ but if she gets enough love and a good therapist, she's yet to do her best work. (Just my opinion.)
