Barack is 44
total delegates away from the nomination!

That means if he gets 20 of the 55 pledged delegates from Puerto Rico, and he wins half of the 31 from SD and MT that he only needs about 8 more supers to push him over the top.

And my state, Montana, "Last in the Nation" will elect our nominee, Barack Obama, the next President of the United States!

Too cool!

4. Obama is 46, as far as I know
Note to DUers: "as far as I know" is NOT like crossing your fingers and rolling your eyes at the same time.

6. a little more math
The recent poll had Obama at 38% and Clinton at 51% in PR. Assuming undecideds go the same, it's about 43-57. Translate to delegates,
its just over 23 delegates. Most recent polls for MT Obama 52, Clinton 35; again assuming undecideds go the same this just below 60-40. so 9-7. South Dakota probably the same vote ratio, so 9-6.

According to Obama's website, he currently is 43 short, not 44 (added one SD you haven't counted).
So 23 + 9 + 9 = 41 would leave him just 2 short. I wonder if he will gain more than 2 SDs
between now and next Tuesday.
