My thoughts on Hillary AND Obama |
|
Just because they are in a race against each other does not mean I can't find something good to say about both of them (and something negative).
hell - we are trying to elect someone to REPRESENT US - we are not trying to win a contest to see which one has done the most wrong we can dig up.
They both suck on some things and are good on others. What is wrong with just admitting that and hitting them up to change on the things they need to? Why do we DEFEND the things we know we don't like about them both? Obama could eat live babies on tv while Hillary was stabbing to death puppies while running over homeless people and people that like one or the other would try to defend their candidate and say which is worse.
It's Obama/Hillary (or Hillary/Obama) vs McLame - and while this is a primary it does not mean we need to find every little thing to villify each other with.
I haven't really liked Hillary for years, but I try to see the good she has done during her time in the senate - and yeah she has done things I don't like, but I would rather be putting pressure on her as prez to make changes than McSame any old fucking day.
For fuck's sake, they both need to get more left - but that does not mean we should spend hours a day looking for something negative about our 'opponent' - we should instead be trying to point out what their plans are, have been, and how they plan to make things better and doing a serious dissection and critical analysis of that.
But hell, they don't need to tell us anything because we are so distracted over drinking or pastors we just don't give a shit.
We are doomed :)
I may not have voted for either one in the primary, but I sure as hell will come November vote for one of them.
But after reading GDP for a spell I am starting to wonder if anyone here really things either of them would be better for our country than McDickhead.
Guess there is nothing worth fighting for anymore as all our candidates suck royal ass and even trying to discuss the good about them is met with a chorus of 'yet, but one time in band camp they did this....'

1. Here's the deal. Obama has won and all the other candidates for Dem nominee have lost. |
|
Obama is a great candidate.

3. We are not doomed, SS. |

gd:p represents a fringe group for the most part. Some here have made this their own personal, good vs. evil, superhero battle. Some have personalized to such an extent that their perception of the candidates bears little resemblance to the candidates themselves.
The good news is that most Democrats are energized and will vote and I think we will be just fine.
I have been very happy with both of our candidates for the most part. I don't agree with all of their policy positions past or present, but would work for and vote for either one.

4. Yeah, I guess some see it as a comic book battle |

Where the justice league is fighting with each other instead of Dr. Doom, Lex Luther, etc :) You know, one of those 'What If' editions they used to put out....
