They were on some right-wing show they other night begging for funds.
They were trying to raise 6 million to run ads until 11/4.

WVIT - Channel 30? One of the anchors is a good friend of mine. If you can confirm this, I'll give him a call and express some righteous anger that he can pass along to the powers that be.

27. Thanks - I know folks there. |

One of the anchors is a friend, and my mom worked for the dad of one of the weather guys for more than 10 years. They wouldn't have enough clout to get ads pulled, but would definitely have access to share complaints directly to the top level. I'll make a couple of phone calls to complain.

There are still McCain approved ads showing here, too. It doesn't make much sense to me. Why is he still buying ad time in a state where he has absolutely NO chance winning? Obama is ahead of McCain here by double digits.

They know they can't win it, but maybe they can make it close, contest everything and illegitimize Obama as much as possible? Just a thought.

43. 2 focus groups on CNN said dragging a candidate's pastor |
|
into the campaign was inappropriate and would make them have less respect for the campaign that did. They said that how you worship is a private matter and trying to blame a candidate for what their pastor says is kind of stupid.
So I don't think they are going to get any mileage out of these. In fact, they are likely to backfire. I'm sure that the Obama campaign has done their own focus groups and have decided that they are further ahead by not responding to this self-destructive behavior.
It's really kind of desperate because there are not many people who don't already know about Rev. Wright and most of America has heard of or seen the speech Obama did on this. It is a closed issues for a lot of people.
