I'm watching Huckabee on FoxNews> WOWWW!! |
|
I was flipping past and saw Richard Dreyfuss in a monologue about our trite sound bite times and the lack of critical thinking and I'm like.."WHAT? This is FOXNEWS? Allowing a liberal to get his point across?"
Then I saw Bill Mahr interviewed and now Lorne Michaels. It is crazy.
This is literally the first time I watched FoxNews in over 10 years where I said....this could be any other show on a regular non propaganda channel.
Have they put their finger in the wind and realized they better change their ways?

1. Gotta say, I think Huckabee's not your standard wingnut |
|
even though I disagree with him, I think the man's got at least some integrity. That's my impression at least

4. I can never give my viewership to Foxnews as long as Hannity |
|
is doing his horrible political hate speech. Same with O'Reilly and his "pinhead" comments.
However, they seem to be changing their strategy over at FoxNews. Now they've hired Judith Miller adding to recent hires like Huckabee.
Stay tuned, I guess.
This is even weirder than MSNBC deciding to become the liberal version of FoxNews LITE. They aren't hawking the sludge that FoxNews does, but they have a decidedly progressive slant the past few months.

He's been brainwashed with ridiculous beliefs.

3. Haven't you been watching KO?! FoxNews ala Bill O'Reilly is losing in the ratings. |
|
They have to become more liberal or they'll basically die in the changing electorate of this nation, much like the racist old school Repubs seen at McPalin rallies...you notice it's they sometimes don't make even three digits and make less than or about the 5000 mark...NEVER above. Those are really the guys watching Bill O right now.

They are there to turn a profit. It's just sad the slime, lies, and horrible propaganda was every a profitable enterprise in our country.

8. I agree. I like him much better as a TV host. As a GOP candidate? |
|
A little too fundamentalist, etc. I love his sense of humor and boy....his lifestyle changes and dedication around losing all that weight...he's an interesting guy.

11. Yeah, he seems likable.... |
|
The only problem is his ideas are fucking frightening!!! Total fundie evangelist. Wanna talk about the SCOTUS? I admit I find him humorous and charming, but that just makes him scarier, because he can appeal to people who normally would recognize an extremist.

Sometimes he'd really make me laugh during the campaign. He just said something about laughing even when you think the person holding the office is a complete incompetent fool.
Too bad he's such a whackadoodle
I think he made an uncomplimentary reference to Palin

is a rather likable fellow, for a Republican. There are only a few Republicans I can almost stomach: Huckabee, Crist, O'Neill (Paul) and maybe even Ahnold when he isn't doing the stupid 'girly man' schpiel.

17. yeah. the whole Schwarzenegger thing is weird. |
|
He's married into Democratic royalty. He has taken some strikingly progressive stands in California. But he is stumping for McCain in the most ridiculous ways.
I guess I'll focus on what he DOES more than what he SAYS. In that sense, I think Maria has him marching to her tune and he is truly a RINO.
I also think Crist is promising.
WE NEED UNITY. I promote ANYTHING within reason where we can all join together as 300 million AMERICANS.
PS> Thank you, Obama!

|
you would stay the hell away from Fixed news. Just my opinion. It will rot your mind.

23. I immediately switched off Foxnews when Hannity showed his face |
|
but I was just shocked at the intelligent conversation allowed and friendly moderating by Huckabee. IT was newsworthy to me so I wondered aloud to the group here if this signals a change in FoxNews slowly but surely.

25. I first started watching Fixed news in the remainder of Clinton's presidency. Back then, they were |
|
hating on him big time. I didn't like him either. I didn't like his welfare reform nor his NAFTA agreements. It took me a while, but when Gore started to run, I could really see their bias coming through. I don't like biased news. If I want to be programmed, I can just go get some Rush Limbaugh tapes and listen to them over and over again.
I have not watched Fixed news for nearly eight years now. Fuck them. I don't trust them. I think that the propaganda that they spew is stronger than most people can even begin to realize.
If you are in doubt, just look at some of those straight up racist folks at McCain/Palin rallies and tell me they are not getting their programming from Fixed news.

21. It really is too bad that Huckabee isn't a progressive |
|
Although he's batshit crazy, I find him more tolerable and likable than many moderate Republicans because of his charm. No, that's not an endorsement of Mike Huckabee, it's an endorsement of his attitude and the way he carries himself in front of a camera.

Could be. But that finger still smells a lot like ass, considering its placement for the last eight years.

27. Huckabee is seriously off on the loony religious right side, but I suppose he's not the personality |
|
type to shout other people down when they're trying to talk...
so maybe it's a minor improvement over there.
