How high is YOUR approval rating?
According to a recent survey of my friends, co-workers, and loved-ones, I'm holding steady at 64%, but down from an all-time high of 71% last month.

I'm also up among minorities and the elderly, but still have a little ways to go with the crucial white middle-class demographic, where I trail my roommate by 4. A unforeseen incident this coming week, like being late for work or wearing socks with holes in them, and the numbers may change dramatically.

Overall, a vast improvement from this winter, when my infamous "bad haircut" gaffe had me polling under 50% for the first time in my 26 years of life.

Is anyone else going to be happy when this is all over?

1. I'm polling at about 20% favorable because I fed the cats an hour ago and now
the ungrateful bastards won't come near me.

My wife thinks I'm ok, though, cause I'm cooking the 10 grain cereal right now.

I expect my favorability rating will drop further right after breakfast....

2. I've been thrown under the bus since I became unemployed two weeks ago.
The kids are worried about their Christmas gifts, and the girlfriend is edgy about buying the groceries by herself.

that is, my parents. I don't live with them so they don't experience my occasional crabbiness which tends to drop me by 12-16 points.

With the white teenager (age 17-17) age group, my positives fluctuate between 52 and 73% - as long as there are still some twenties in my purse, I should retain those highs through this election cycle.

4. My Approval Rating is Apparently High Enough
to survive a 30% staff cut last week. At the moment, that's all I care about.

7. I'm going to make homemade lasagna tonight, so I imagine my numbers will
be quite high in tonight's polling. My kitty pretty much always loves me, he's like Bush's 19-percenters, only he's smart and good.

8. I didn't take the garbage out last night so I've dropped three points with my wife... BUT...
... I pandered to my kid and took her to Monkey Joe's yesterday and my approval with her is through the roof.

9. About 10%, until something on the internets break or a server crashes...
Then it's about 90% - 98% or so, depending on how long it takes me to decide to fix it.

:argh:

10. I've got a big show tonight, so despite my stable 65%* I'm projecting a 10-15% post-gig spike...
