Roger Stone (Republican) Offers $1000 To First Person To Punch Karl Rove In Face And Draw Blood
Seriously. Roger Stone, the Republican consultant.

I heard him say this on the radio this morning on Curtis Sliwa's radio show in New York.

Him and Sliwa were going off on Rove and how he's destroyed the Republican party and then Stone said he'll offer $1000 to the first person who can punch Karl Rove in the face and draw blood.

And it didn't sound like he was kidding either.

I don't know if this was written about before, I just got home. But I found it fascinating and I think we know who's the first person getting thrown under the bus once the election is over.

1. What do I get if I hang him from his toes?
I'd eventually let him go.

Maybe.

3. Didn't hear that one.. no... but you know Roger could be arrested and charged
if he really meant it in NY State.

Conspiracy to assault and battery.

Karl Rove's life is over in NY state. I hope he is never heard from again after today.

20. Curtis needs to STFU
I've met him several times in person and while he's urbane and nice to talk to, he's got serious issues. His red beanie assholes are becoming a major nuisance and he's encouraging them to go further.

Stone: 'Forensic audit' of RPOF books needed
November 03, 2008, By Steve Bousquet

Republican pundit Roger Stone (http://stonezone.com), writing under the heading of "True Stuff That No One Else Will Say," weighs in on Florida GOP chairman Jim Greer's chances of becoming the next chairman of the Republican National Committee. Writes Stone: "Florida GOP Chairman Jim Greer thinks he's running for RNC chairman, but not without a forensic audit of Republican Party of Florida spending and almost one million dollars of un-itemized American Express bills on state party filings in Tallahassee. Can you say 'gentlemen's clubs'?"

GOP operative Stone oppose gay-marriage amendemnt (sic)
November 2, 2008, by Marc Caputo

Roger Stone got his political start working for Richard Nixon, helped engineer the 2000 Brooks Brothers riot stopping Miami-Dade's ballot counting and played a typically shadowy role helping bring down New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer.

Now the GOP operative has a new target: The constitutional gay-marriage ban. He plans to post the following on his stonezone website:

"Florida has a Constitutional Amendment on the ballot on Tuesday, November 3 which would theoretically ban gay marriage. I am voting against it and urge my fellow Floridians to join me in voting NO.

As a libertarian I don’t want the government telling me what I can do in my private life. Life is short and true happiness is hard to find. If loving gay couples want to form a union what business is it of mine?

Why shouldn’t gay people be protected like everyone else when it come to credit, property rights and equal protection under the law? Saying “God” ordained that marriage be between a man and woman is mixing Church and State- it’s unconstitutional.

I don’t want the government telling me what kind of gun I can own, what kind of drugs I can ingest or who I can marry. I want government out of the boardroom and the bedroom. I don’t want the government deciding what consenting adults can do in private.

The first landmark anti-gay ballot question, the Briggs Amendment, was defeated in California when former Governor Ronald Reagan had the courage to oppose it because it infringed on personal freedom. Amendment 2 is much the same. Vote against it."
