This is so fucked. I am so fucking pissed. |

We should be worried about whether the polls will pan out. We should be worried about whether our voters will turn out or if it's gonna rain in states where inclimate weather might discourage Democratic voters. We should be worried about how close polling states turn out as the last minute deciders break our way or our opponents.
Instead we're 8-11 points ahead in the polls and we're worried about whether the Republicans are gonna steal it or not. That is NOT how American democracy ought to be. Even if they lose--and I'm sure they will--those fuckers have still damaged the integrity of American elections.
Oh, I know that it's never been perfect--from Jim Crowism to the dead voters in Cook County throughout the machine politics years, there've been horrible abuses to how democracy functions--more often with abuses come from the Democrats, in fact. But for most of my adult life our elections have been as honest as any in the industrialized world. We can't say that now--after years of active vote suppression efforts I simply don't trust my own country's democratic procedures. I don't know the fuckers can be stopped from cheating despite the majority support for Obama.
I want my country back and I want our democracy back. I knew it was going to take more than just one election to fix the damage done to the country. Now I'm realizing it'll take more than one win to fix our democracy back, too.
I'm willing to work, but it just occured to me how pissed I am about it. Fuck the vote suppressors. They should all be prosecuted out of existance.

4. Let's hope we are in position to fix it in the next 4 years. |
|
I used to take the integrity of the election for granted. When we lost, I felt that it was the will of the people and I was in the minority. I never doubted that it was a fair election
until 2000.
Lets hope this is the end of it.

5. I've been very pissed about it for a long time..... |
|
and I am furious that OUR representatives havn't addressed the problems. They have completely ignored them for 8 yrs and only a few individuals understand how dire and tenuous our situation. The act of voting and being assured that it will be counted corrected is more precious to me than any flag or piece of dirt called america. Instead of the insane chanting of USA USA USA, we should be chanting DEMOCRACY, DEMOCRACY DEMOCRACY. Our voting rights ARE America and the repugs have almost destroyed them. And the democrats in congress have sat there since 2006 and done NOTHING. Shame on them and shame on us for letting them.

7. I'm also pissed at DUers who say we shouldn't voice our concern. |
|
Why the fuck not? They've stolen it twice.
I'm cautiously optimistic. We are in a stronger & better position this year than ever before, but the reality is they've stolen it twice. These fuckers will do anything, anything. They have no integrity, no sense of fair play & nothing but disdain for democracy.
