Please Read...Something is NOT right. |
|
I got my usual daily email from "Obama for America" and got this tonight. Funny thing is, I do NOT live in Arizona, I'm in Ohio. Odd. Anyone else experience anything similar?
xxxxxxx,
We've updated our records, and we want to be certain your voting information is as accurate as possible.
Based on the most recent voter registration information we have, here is where you should vote on Tuesday, November 4th:
MOUNTAIN PARK COMMUNITY CHURCH 2408 E PECOS RD PHOENIX, AZ
Open: 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m..
If you think you may be registered to vote at a different polling location, take a moment to verify your information at www.voteforchange.com.
This election is too important to leave any votes on the table.
Please verify your voting location now and cast your vote for change.
Thanks,
Obama for America

Telling me to vote in Virginia. I'm registered in Washington and my Virginia registration should be void.
Edit: If I go to the website it links and put in my current address it does give me the correct polling location.

8. They're using a lot of lists |
|
I found out in 2004 I was STILL registered to vote in the same place I first registered in Tulsa in 1992 even though I had re-registered in Norman, OK in 2000 and again in Edmond, OK in 2004.

14. I wouldn't worry too much about it |

Since you live in Ohio you know you don't need to hop on a plane to Arizona to vote. Ditto for anyone else who receives something like that in error.
I got my text tonight and it told me the times the polls in Oklahoma close. My friend got the same message and his was correct too.

16. I was just concerned.... |

As I've heard much (In OH) lately on the local news channels stating that Dems were being called/getting flyers giving them the incorrect areas to vote.

9. I've received two emails like this from Obama's campaign |
|
I got one a few days ago that had indicated an incorrect polling location that is across the river from me in a different city. Tonight I got one that had my proper polling place.

12. Did you move recently? |
|
I got that e-mail also, telling me to vote at my old address (moved last year). I know I'm registered in my new location because I voted there in the primaries, so the Obama web site must still have my old address from some earlier source. You can click on the link, put in your current address, and get your current voting location.

Of mix-ups occurring with people in different states having similar names. I can't remember where, it was probably here. Maybe you can find out from the campaign if someone in AZ has a similar name.
