Moments from this campaign you will never forget...
One for me: Lipstick on a Pig.

You know the story... Barack had called McCain's policies "lipstick on a pig". Repugs claimed he was talking about Palin. They DEMANDED an apology. The righties on the news forums were already celebrating McCain's November victory. "This is Obama's 'Howard Dean' moment!", one joyous asshole exclaimed. The next morning it was announced that Obama would be making a statement about it at that day's rally.

I'll be honest, this worried me. This is the kind of thing that, in the past, a Democrat would have come out, made some mumbly statement about intent and apologized. Obama wasn't going to do that was he? He would look weak. He would look guilty. It would be ruinous!

Obama comes out, looking confident, looking strong, and says simply "ENOUGH!"

That was it. That's when Barack Obama earned my trust. That's when I knew we FINALLY had a candidate that would actually FIGHT BACK.

Simply awesome.
