I've been here at DU since the day after Gore won in 2000. I am very lucky because I can vote just around the corner from my home. I will not sleep tonight, as a matter of fact, I am so excited that I just "practiced my route" with my dog, no activity there yet. (But it is only 10:30pm here in CA) I plan on getting there for the 7:00am opening at 5:00am to try be first in line in honor our of all of my brothers and sisters here at DU!!! Good Luck everyone!!!! FIRED UP AND READY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Redondo Rocks! My dad lived there til the day he died.
I'd say Welcome to DU but you've been here a LONG time. DU has given me solace, too, for about that long. It's been an oasis in the middle of a VERY large, desolate, and dry desert.
:hi:
I've got to be up that early, too - for a couple of reasons: making sure my kid gets up and off to school in time, and to take my yard signs down. The polling place is across the street from where we live, too close to show any campaign materials.

Seriously, before 6 am every dingdanged day. At dinner tonight we held hands and issued our wish to the world to make every Obama voter get to the polls to make fast, accurate votes. And after we talked about our morning plans. 1) Get Up 2) Get breakfast and 3) Get right to the polls and with hopes we'll be the first to vote for Barack in our neighborhood.
I hope I'll be able to sleep because I know I won't rest tomorrow until after he's declared OUR 44TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!
This is my first election as a DUer. I am so grateful for this landing spot. Thank you all for the spirited debates and uplifting threads.

Oh man... how I miss Hennesseys, and the little french bakery, and that little roundabout by the beach.. it was called.. like burnout because of hotel that burned down there decades ago. Ah.. Redondo.. happy memories.

I'm next door in Manhattan Beach!
Have fun trying to be first in line...
I won't get to my polling place until mid-morning...
Hopefully things won't be too congested, but even if they are, I'm going to persist!
