A friend of mine just called. He lives in Boston, was leaving an election night party and going |
|
home. He called from Copley Square and I could hardly hear him. He said, "Listen!" and held the phone up. There were cheers and happy screams and laughing, and my friend said it was like New Year's Eve in Times Square. There were hundreds and hundreds of people there, just happy as hell and celebrating.
He's lived in Boston all his life and said, short of the Red Sox winning the series, he's never seen anything like it.
Starry, starry night. How wonderful is this?!!

6. I saw that on the news here (in Boston). |
|
People were jumping into the reflecting pool and splashing around having a good time. I've never seen *that* before. :-)
