I was depressed for months in 2004, and it's hard to wish that on anyone, even Republicans. Just as my support for Dean in 2004 made me sympathetic to what Clinton supporters were going through in June, my experience as a Democrat in 2000, 2002 and 2004 makes me sympathetic to Republicans, especially the rank and file activists who worked hard only to fall short. I can say from experience that it's a heartbreaking feeling, and I don't wish that on anyone.

27. I don't think you did feel that way. |
|
I imagine you felt much less hate and entitlement.
I guess I can muster some sympathy for Republicans mourning the defeat of their party--but not for the haters promoting McCain/Palin in defiance of reason.

37. I'm not. In 2004 we were right, and they were wrong. |
|
And in this election, we were right, and they're wrong again. But this time, the inevitable consequences of their ignorant choices convinced a majority of voters for the right side.
They sowed the windy seeds of their own defeat, now they get to reap the whirlwind wheat of comeuppance.

I can sympathize with them, but only with the ones who voted for McCain out of some lost sense of conservatism. I feel nothing for the crazies who threw around racists remarks and pushed their christian right agenda into politics. They can all go cry in a corner together and wait for the "end of days" to come and take them away.

I was half comatose on Theraflu Tuesday night but I forced myself to stay awake just so I could see the look on Sarah Palin's face.
Then I shut the light out and slept like a baby. And I'll sleep that way for the next four years.

30. Oh, I have absolutely no sympathy for these people. They have had their time... |
|
and they supported a campaign that relied on racism and hatred. The idea of supporting a veep candidate who didn't know what The Bush Doctrine was or a Supreme Court Case decision in which she disagreed was OK with them. To them, that was a better choice than Obama/Biden? Stupid. I feel nothing for them...except, possibly, amusement.

why are they kicking around here while liberals are dying over a war they don't believe in but believe in their fellow troops enough to sign up and go..
Should be a law, the first into war zones are the children of Senators, Congressmen, Pres & Veeps, and anyone that promotes or demands it.
Put it on the IRS form, "Do you want your tax dollars to be used to fight this War? If so by signing this form you are hereby enlisted in the military."
