Another Wonderful Thing.
It occurs to me that after this unbelievable elation of the historical election, after living with disbelief for so long that no matter how hard we tried, the true choice never was awarded to us,that not only are we in the midst of the kind of hope that makes you misty, realizing, the People still have the Power afterall, that little decider, the dangerous gunslinger cowboy and all his puppeteers are packing up to leave, shortly, and they are taking with them something I had forgotten I was afraid of. It was something always in the back of my mind, a-this could happen any minute- kind of thing. Not just more war, but THE DRAFT!

The fear of the Bushies/Mccain idea of endless conflict, when you have kids that might be called up to go, (even though you would try to certainly help them flee to safety), is naturally quite unsettling. Hell, to be exact.

Electing Obama! I think we still need to pinch ourselves.

I always knew we would win, no matter what the pundits would say at the end of Tues. evening. I didn't realize how much more I would begin to relax, reveling in the comfort that Prez Obama would certainly most likely never ever call our children out to be soldiers. He would use swift strategy, I know he would. But draft our kids, I think not!

How wonderful.
