5. Good luck! How did you apply?
Is there a central application process, or is it through well-placed people in the campaign?

14. hundreds of thousands
it's gotta be worse than applying for Google. I wonder if it's really legit or if they only hire one in a million.

6. Yeah, me too. Submitted a few days ago.
Good luck to you and to me but it will be very competitive. They are getting thousands of applications. Here is the response email which I assume you got as well:

=======

Thank you for completing your application to serve to in the Obama-Biden Administration. As you can imagine, we are receiving thousands of applications during the transition process. We will initially be focused on the most senior positions in the Administration. If you do not hear from us for several weeks or months, please do not think we have lost your information. If at any time you wish to update your application, please log in again and modify the information accordingly. Thank you again for your interest.

Sincerely,

The Obama-Biden Transition Project

==========

10. Do they give any generalized information as to positions?
Also, how do they send the information and how did you submit?

11. It's a standard on-line application -- about 10 pages

You also have to attach current resume. There are a number of questions where you select from a list of drop downs on job type, experience type, and gov departments you are most qualified to fill. I am sure they will use these for automated search and ranking to widdle down to a manageable number for further review.

Here's a good article:

although I have skillz that would benefit any dept., I've not been involved in govt. thus far.

in other words, I'm not banking on it, but I am having the audacity to hope.
