If MCCAIN won, Zawahiri could've said, "See how America rejected the most popular candidate in the world because his name is Barack HUSSEIN Obama? They truly hate all people even with Muslim NAMES!" Now he can't say anything like that because we DID elect Barack HUSSEIN Obama and he knows he's "screwn." So he has to pretend Obama's a "House Negro" who is workin' for "the man." The world, including the Muslim world Zawahiri is trying to reach, now sees us in a more positive light than they EVER did under Bush and would've under McCain.

That is, after all, Obama's stated objective, i.e., to withdraw troops from Iraq but increase troop deployments to the Afghanistan\Pakistan theater. This in support of a regime (Karzai's) that makes al Maliki look the epitome of popular legitimacy.

This is one time where Obama would be well-served to repudiate the centrist humbug (of Afghanistan as somehow a "good war") and take a more progressive tack (of an immediate ceasefire accompanied by comprehensive negotiations towards a comprehensive peace). Somehow I doubt that Obama will be that "intelligent."
