Some of the Freepers have gone waaaay beyond the birth certificate stuff....
These days, on FR, Obama's ineligibility to be President is pretty much a given. The truly adventurous Freepers are breaking new ground.

A thread titled has only 171 posts, which makes it smaller than the major birth-certificate threads. Nevertheless, the content is pure comedy gold.

In what follows, direct quotations are from different Freepers on the thread. Parentheticals are my comments. Other text is my paraphrase of the original.

In this thread you'll learn the following:

* Obama's mother (Stanley Ann Dunham) and grandmother (Madelyn Dunham) are both still alive, their deaths having been faked. In fact, his mother registered a mortgage in Hawaii just a few weeks ago.
* Obama's mother worked for the Ford Foundation in connection with its operations in Indonesia. "Indonesia is one of the 'hot-spots' for organ trading. Q Are the people currently associated with the building that houses THE FORD FOUNDATION at 320 E. 43rd St. involved in another body organ trafficking ring?"
* With regard to Obama's mother and her multiple "aliases": "The multiple addresses under each alias suggest an extreme pattern of money laundering and real estate acquisitions. ... (T)he extent of money-laundering, as revealed by means of linking database names and real estate transactions, is staggering. On the basis of the above examples and evidence from other investigations, the numbers of properties involved likely number in the millions and would be worth hundreds of billions of dollars, if not $trillions."
* "There are said to be photos of Ann Dunham on Waikiki Beach taken in or about July 1961, when she is supposed to have been in her third trimester, in a bikini, taken by a fellow female student. AD is clearly not pregnant." (Ah, now they're getting back at us for the Palin pregnancy speculations.)
* "CIA did a DNA test on the grandparents, using saliva from glasses, which conclusively rules out any relationship between Obama and the Dunhams."
* "Ann Dunham possibly not a America citizen and went to school in Beirut, Lebanon. Possibly the family was smuggled into the US as spies."
* "Mr. Obama is currently being fed over $250 million in overseas funds." The money was laundered by means of stolen credit card numbers.
* "We have no idea who Obama is. But this information here says he is a part of something larger than just POTUS."
* "There are people that think his mother was a CIA cut-out." (A , I just learned, is an intermediary that facilitates the exchange of information between agents.)
* "We don’t know if Obama was 'inserted' into the family via some sort of adoption or what. We don’t know if the family is a foreign plant, or CIA-backed."
* "My opinion based on inclonclusive research leads me to believe that the family was tied somehow to the 'Witness protection program'." (I can't wait to see what clonclusions he clomes to when the research is cloncluded.)
* "Fannie Mae invested at least 10 million into the Islamic banking Cooperative microfinancing network. One of the members of this cooperative (one of the largest) is none-other than Bank Raykak of Indonesia — the same bank Stanley Ann Dunham was a director of the microfinancing program at this bank." (Remember this clear link to Fannie Mae when we come to the last item on this list.)
* "Frank Marshall Davis was moved to Hawaii by CPUSA. I assumed the same was true of Stanley Armour and Madelyn Dunham." (Well, at least one Freeper doesn't buy the story about the CIA, unless he thinks that the CIA and the Communist Party were working in cahoots.)
* "Don’t forget that when Obama Sr arrived in Hawaii as a foreign exchange student he arrived with a student from Jordan and one from Iran." (Also don't forget that, at that time, Iran was ruled by the pro-American Shah, following a in which the CIA helped to oust the democratically elected Mohammed Mosaddeq. Hey, wait a minute, that means there is a CIA connection!)
* The Clintons knew all this stuff but couldn't use it in the primaries for fear of retaliation by Obama, who knows too much about them: "(H)is family has all the buried skeletons of the clinton-Indonesian-Chicom funding."
* "I knew they manipulated the markets when obama was down in the polls, which worked and he never looked back after that."

The thread also includes something about a Virginia dentist whose license was suspended, but I couldn't quite figure out where he fits in. And, of course, one of the posts mentions Larry Sinclair, just for old times' sake.

Other thrilling revelations may yet be in store: "I’m doing some research on Dunham Enterprises and looking for connections to the Middle East." Imagine that, Obama's maternal grandparents might have been involved with a company that might've done business in the Middle East! Kind of like the Bush family's dealings with the bin Laden family, I guess, only none of the Freepers made that analogy.

I guess the reason this crucial research attracted only 171 posts was that many of the Freepers are plotting how they don't have to pay income tax now that a usurper will be President. (No, I'm not making that up, either.)

Just Wow

This all assumes of course that Dick Cheney and George W. Bush with their unprecedented levels of access to records and wiretaps do not have access to his information this brilliant person found on their own and wouldn't use one piece of that information to ensure John McCain continued their legacy. Because Bush and Cheney have shown such restraint when it comes to fighting political opponents.

I'm being serious when I say this. The person who wrote that probably has either a paranoid personality disorder or is hearing voices from a manic episone or Scizophrenia.

Yeah, this kinda of stuff has crept up on the PUMA boards blogging about this nonsense as well. There's a few people that think he's a CIA plant and the reason why Bush II didn't spill the beans on him during the election is Bush I's CIA buddies are controlling the operation.

Also, anti-semite Andy Martin inisted a few weeks ago he uncovered evidence that Frank Marshall Davis was Obama's REAL father, and the marriage to Barack Obama Sr. was just a cover for that.

And you find people insisting Stanley Ann Durham's Social Security number is still active, "proving" she's still alive. *rolls eyes*

Yep, the freepers and other far-right loons are claiming that since the Supreme Court didn't rule in their favour, the entire Constitution and Federal government is now null and void and any action taken by President Obama, the house, the senate, AND the supreme court are meaningless. It also means the military has broken down since any orders given by Obama are illegal since he cannot be the "Commander in Chief".

Want some prime crazy? Dr. Orly Taitz, DDS, Esq., one of the lawyers in the Keyes case and in Lightfoot v. Bowen, just posted on her blog this great idea:

http://drorly.blogspot.com/2008/12/idea-for-presidents-executive-order-in.html

'I talked today with the audience on Andrea Shea-King show in Florida.
two new ideas came up:
1. Writing to President Bush and Vice President Chaney and demanding an executive order, deeming Obama ineligible for presidency, due to the fact that his father was a foreigner.
2. Issuing an executive order, demanding that Obama sign a consent to produce documents, verifying his citizenship, such as his original birth certificate, passports, immigration and naturalization records, school and college enrollment records and so on."

These people are not only a few fries short of a happy meal, they're missing the burger, drink AND toy surprise.

On Edit, also found at Dr. Taitz' blog:

"Let me spell it out for you. Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) lived and studied in Moscow after defecting the US Marine Corps in 1960. His KGB-provided wife Marina gave birth in 1961. The baby was not Lee Harvey's. He was fathered by an Afro-Cuban spy (let's call him Comrade X). Since Lee Harvey's assassination by frequent Palm Beach Country Club and Bernie Maddoff ally, Jack Ruby, Marina and the baby slipped from view.

A little known fact is that she ended up in Indonesia without the baby.

The baby? His name currently sitting in nomination for the Presidency of the United States in fifty-one envelopes on route to the House of Representatives.

Do these fuckers understand prior to DNA testing there was a simple way people could tell if children belonged in a family

Look at Obama, look at his mother, look at his father, and look at his maternal grandfather he has the physical features of all three.

5. Dr. Taitz is clearly mistaken about one point
Obama's name isn't in 51 envelopes en route to DC. After all, McCain managed to carry some states.

Seriously, though, that quotation is a real find. I don't know how they got by this long without a link to the JFK assassination.

This ongoing saga reminds me of an observation I read years ago about the plethora of left-wing conspiracy theories. The writer observed that, if all these theories were true, then implementing that many conspiracies would require at least half the adults in the United States, which makes the whole thing more or less democratic.

4. It amazes me to no end that these people can come up with
shit like this, and still not believe that Bush lied us into war. Their minds can concoct all these elaborate fantasies about the government, but they can't see what's right in front of their face when it comes to the shit the government really does do.

God, guns, and excessive amounts of paranoia and patriotism have more power to destroy and control minds than all the drugs in the world.

I used so many direct quotations, even where a paraphrase might have been more succinct, precisely because I thought readers might be suspicious of any paraphrase. "He must be making that up" or "He must be distorting the original," I heard them thinking.

The writers at the Onion probably know moments of despair, wondering how they can satirize a reality that's already so over the top.

37. Ford Foundation is "very left wing"! Who knew?
To: RummyChick
There is something very weird here and this is not tin foil hat stuff. The grandmother worked for a normal bank and they were middle class. What the hell were they doing involved with the Ford Foundation which is pretty left wing?

Old man Ford probably turns over in his grave about how the Foundation is operated. This is normal with foundations like this unless they have very specific bylaws etc. They usually become very left wing.

filed a RICO action against Bush and others for conspiring to stage 9/11. Currently, Berg is a plaintiff in one of the Obama birth certificate lawsuits.

Some of the accounts of the birth certificate litigation mention triumphantly that Berg is (according to his own description, at least) a Democrat. The bipartisan nature of the movement is apparently considered strong evidence for its validity.

71. I wondered how long it would take for them to pick up on the misdirection
The Bavarian Illuminati has so carefully sown for them. We left so much evidence to throw them off the true conspiracy that we were beginning to wonder if they were still trying to research our plant.

Finally after 30 years of work, the last obstacle, the watch dogs of American liberty have been directed away from the truth before they could interfere with our master plan!

Weishap's descendants thank all who have worked so hard on this final misdirection!

Now even the true american guard will not be able to stop us in time!
The gold shipments are on the way, do not forget we need them to find the final "Dubai Document" to cement their belief in the false trail.

All Hail Illuminati! All hail the true light of Satan!

No need to worry, I had this thread filtered by mac address so only those with proper clearance will see post 71. You should be able to see it now and take heart! All is indeed still on track for final victory, we apologize for not allowing you to know of the fifth level of misdirection until now, it was necessary for security reasons.

80. conspiracy theory is the last refuge of the defeated in denial

I hate to say it but I have read any number of post here on DU just as crazy and just as idiotic and just as straight out of wacky-wacky world as those on FR.

Only weeks ago their were a few posters seriously claiming that the financial crisis was fake. There were other posters seriously claiming that Bush was going to cancel the elections and impose martial law. I won't even mention all the nutty 9-11 conspiracy theories and all that craziness that has appeared on a number of progressive forums. And even theories about secret cabals that secretly rule the world - conspiracy theories that have their roots in old classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theory - have appeared on this and other progressive forums.

Of course those post were much more popular here when Bush and the radical right were riding high and there was no visible end in sight to their rein of terror and error.

Now that the forces of progress are prevailing again - the shoe is on the other foot.

These freeper post should serve as a reality check to not go off the deep end when things go very badly for us.

Sure, the no planes stuff seems unbelievable to me, but it reeks of at least LIHOP. DU conspiricies are at least understandable considering the people we were dealing with for 8 years. I think the timing of the IL gov. probe is fishy.

Obama was just elected, and they have conspiracies that make no sense at all.

92. underlying most conspiracy theory is the assumption that one's opponents are motivated by conscious,
and intentional evil. This is a deeply misguided way of interpreting the world. With the exception of "The Joker" from Batman,
"Mr. Burns" from The Simpson's and "Dick Cheney" from the Bush Administration, very, very, very few people actually think like that.

The vast majority of people from the very left-wing of the Democratic Party to the very right-wing of the Republican Party sincerely believe in their hearts and minds that they are doing the morally right and proper thing. Even Stalinist-Communist and Hitlerian-Nazis believed themselves to be doing the morally right and proper thing.

The trend I notice is that whenever a political movement, whether left or right, is defeated, there is always a natural attempt to explain the defeat. Those who presume that their opponents are intentionally plotting evil and destruction are most vulnerable to this kind of demagoguery.

The Bush Administration is the most incompetent, corrupt and ideologically driven administration at least in the modern history of the United States of America. It a mistake that inevitably leads to a misreading and misinterpretation of events and policy to assign conscious and intentional evil to actions and policies that can quite rationally be explained by the more mundane qualities of incompetence, corruption and ideological rigidity and blindness. Conspiracy theory, whether based in secular or religious notions is essentially a fundamentalist way of thinking.

Edited on Tue Dec-16-08 10:08 PM by mvd
Those 8 years were not by accident or just incompetence. Villians throughout history sometimes thought they were doing the right thing. But Bush knew the means to get to war (falsifying evidence) was not the right thing to do.

97. I think it is less an assumption of pure evil
than an assumption that one's enemies have extraordinary powers.

Conspiracies, the real thing, occur often enough that it's clear they're damned hard to keep secret for very long. Watergate started leaking almost as soon as the burglary was discovered. Iran-Contra went from secret conspiracy to headlines while the conspirators were still in office. Thanks to a hero in the Justice Department (and no thanks to the New York Times editors) we know of the Bush/Cheney top secret program to spy on Americans.

Without fail, conspiracies reveal themselves. How many reading this have been sworn to absolute secrecy about a holiday gift, but have already blabbed about it to a third person? People have an almost uncontrollable desire to share secrets.

How many times have you become suspicious, and uncovered something (something perhaps as trivial as that the kids raided the cookie jar) because some small detail in your environment wasn't quite right? A piece of tape exposed the Watergate conspiracy. Many cases of embezzlement are revealed not when auditors fail to make the numbers add up, but because certain digits appear, in the tidily cooked books that seem to make sense, with abnormal frequency. Think of how many small objects surround you at this moment alone -- do you think you could control every one of them perfectly so that an observant individual would never notice something out of place? Insure that every single spontaneous background noise of every telephone conversation was always compatible with a ruse? Make sure that everything time-dependent always happens exactly when it is supposed to?

It can't be done. Sooner or later, an observant person comes along, or something happens out of sequence, or some external force intervenes, and everything unravels.

The big problem with conspiracy theories is that they assume an enormous number of conspirators never or almost never blab, and that the conspirators are, every one of them, so incredibly OCD that nothing is ever out of place in time or space. Sure, something "leaks" -- the conspiracy theorists always have some set of "facts" upon which to base their theories -- but when a conspiracy theory's body of "facts" and "witnesses" is set against known actual conspiracies, the basket of "facts" is far smaller and flimsier than one would expect, even as the supposed conspiracy is many orders of magnitude grander, and what the theory lacks in the way of evidence it makes up for in handwaving and gawking at coincidences and oddities the way drivers gawk at a car wreck.
