I know I'm probably going to be flamed for this but we have control over both houses of congress and the Presidency. Not much more we can do to justify being in distress any longer.

4. Given the way Congressional Democrats have been (not) acting...
I vote that it stay around a bit longer, until Congress and the new President prove that they are not the same Democrats who voted for the Patriot Act, voted for two pointless and extremely expensive wars, voted to bail out vast greed and corporate mismanagement, all while NOT voting to impeach.

8. I intend to change my avatar that day -
but I'm not giving an inch before then. * is still in office and he can still nuke the world. He is a narcissist who is capable of fiddling while burning the nation down around him as his way of saying goodbye. What would it take for him to declare a national emergency that would indefinitely delay the change in government?

Yeah, I'm paranoid. And my avatar stays until 1/20.

9. It may not happen in the first 100 days. Maybe not even in the first term.....
I heard a young President-elect say that in 1961.

Then I heard it again recently from another young President-elect........
