Repukes are afraid of a clean up at Justice
The Holder appointment scares them more than anything. All the complaints about him are
chicken sh**. More than any other cabinet pick, he is a threat once he starts poking under the hood
of the Bush years. They would prefer someone they can control.

I think we should push this narrative to counter all the faux corruption narratives they are pushing.
It will put them on the defensive.

1. I hope Reid doesn't back down and say "They have 41 votes
so they win. We're abandoning Holder"

4. They won't get 41, because there will be at least 3 or 4 senators
that will break with them.

Lugar for one--he's friends with Obama.

McCain might too--he's been critical of those Republicans who are giving Obama shit.

Maybe Olympia Snowe...she's moderate as is.

And (I can't believe I'm saying this) Tom Coburn might. He and Obama are in agreement on transparent government and managed to pass one of Obama's most significant pieces of legislation together.

2. They do seem pretty excited about Holder.
All this agitation suggests to me that they don't think the Obama people are gonna just let bygones be bygones.

And hey, I don't recall having seen you around here in a very long time. You gonna give us something for the new year on Starlight News?

3. I like the sound of this
IMHO, the Attorney General is the person they most have to fear. I like the fact that he's got them :scared:.
