little festival in Eureka Ca.

The people I was with didn't know what the film was about but insisted on bringing fried chicken and wine and some herbal remedy.....

We smoked a little and drank some of the wine and THEY ate some of the chicken with their hands right before the film started.....


I have never had soooo much fun at a movie in my entire life.....'Boo'ing the couple and offering chicken leftovers with my bare hands....

13. Two disturbing things I've seen in the last few days.

One had to do with avatar changes, got locked.

More disturbing, polls on the issue du jour, with members calling for banning of those voting a particular way.

27. About that banning based on poll answers thing.

For the three who were actually banned, I hope the mods looked carefully at their history and found other reasons.
The question had to do with comparing pedophiles with homosexuality, based on Warren comments from the past.
A serious concern, to be sure, but what if members hit the wrong button or were just foolishly hitting the unpopular answer just to be "contrary" but didn't feel that way?

With all the polls I've answered, I'm sure that I've done that contrary thing. I thought it was safe and anonymous.

On the matter of posting replies that say, "they should be banned", well that's just fanatical disturbing.

Freedom of speech I guess only counts if the speech is agreeable speech.

Have you ever seen a post anywhere, on any BBS or blog, where people regularly said "I'm fine, fine, everything is good?" If so, you need to stop taking drugs.

Outrage, anger, conflict; these are the basis of all writing. And especially in discussing social or political matters. I'm guessing you were taught English in a Florida grade school, for you not to know that basic fact.

What makes me laugh is that some people post that we are ONLY posting on DU and doing nothing, that we don't talk to all of our friends and most of our family or coworkers about these issues, that we don't email, that we don't contact the change.gov site or direct contacts, and they keep saying do something - I am pretty confident that most of DU does something useful every day to make all of our lives better... and I thank them (and you!)
