Cool photos: 'Bamalot': Obama's twist on Camelot!
I don't know if these photo's have been posted already, but nevertheless, I wanted to share them with you. They come from Dutch magazine 'Vrij Nederland' which features an article about the return of 'Camelot' to the White House... with a new, classy twist!

Imagine, after George Bush, THIS will be the new President of the USA:

If you showed that picture to anyone who had never heard of Barack Obama and asked him to guess the occupation of the man on the photo, I'd bet he would say the guy is a movie star!

The new First Lady:

And the complete First Family:

The line underneath reads: "For just now, still on the steps in Chicago. When in Washington, will the Obama's also be trend setters on a cultural level?"

4. I only wish my scanner hadn't turned out such a low quality...
You should see the photos as they appeared in the magazine. They looked much better.

18. When you scan photos from print, use the "descreen" option
Otherwise, you end up with an effect from the printing dots. Descreening is a filter that reduces the effect. There are some other methods discussed at this link: http://www.scantips.com/basics6c.html

Great pictures even with the defects!

11. I forgot the translation for the Michelle photo. Here it is:
"The Obamas in the White House
Bamalot

After eight joyless put-the-lights-out-after-nine-o'clock years, glamor and grandness make a return to the White House. In the midst of an economic depression, the American people is yearning for a fairy tale. Which tone will the new First Family set? And is Michelle the fairy godmother?"

12. Wow! Glamour and Grandness makes a return to the White House...
It makes me feel good to know that even the world is happy about President Barack Obama and family! I am so happy just to watch it happening.

My friend was in Paris when Obama won and she said she felt like royalty. People were saying "American?, American? Obama!". That is excellent! He's going to be a good president too...I can feel it!

14. Wow! That is amazing. It seems the world is enthralled and truly
looking forward to this new administration.

I was having a discussion with a friend earlier today and we were remembering the dancing and celebrating ALL AROUND THE WORLD after Obama's victory. I think that everyone feels as breath of relief and some hope for the future.

15. MOST of the world. Of course, I've also seen the sour articles in conservative magazines...
But I didn't let that spoil my good mood about Obama's victory! :)
