Lincoln's Lyceum is something to read, as well as Bryan's "Cross of Gold" speech, Lincoln's 2nd inaugural, etc. I can do w/o the Reagan stuff, a 2 bit actor reading prepared scripts, but some of the others are truly magnificent.
The days of great oratory are behind us, great voices have been silenced and the verbiage is so crafted these days as to be little more than boilerplate rehashes of the same old ideas. Rare indeed are the spellbinding orators that motivate and inspire.

Unless there is a great collective urge to reach this high Oratorical Level...we will see only the occasional speaker like Obama...
