3. This is great!
I was so wanting to take today off to watch the inauguration, but was out of vacation time at work. But with daycare closed and a wife who's a nurse and HAS to go to work, I get the unfortunate task of staying home with the kid today. Sux for me!! Yay for snow...for once!

Wonder if the local stations will be able to interrupt their 24/7 snow coverage to at least show the inauguration?

Yesterday was the first snow in the D.C. area too. Of course it isn't such a rare occurrence as it is for you guys there. Very cool that you get to watch the coverage today - you NCers deserve it!

8. Last night snow was forecast to fall 1.5"--I think it'll be more than that! I'm enjoying
the beauty of it, and I'm enjoying seeing the birds get the seed I put out without having to share with the squirrels, who are sleeping in, it seems.

What a great excuse for more folks to stay at home and watch the inaugural!
