2. I just picked up Tix for the Tampa show at $100 a pop. |
|
I made the mistake of not getting them right away and had to pay twice as much as general admission cost. Make sure you get them the moment they go on sale. Tampa sold out in one hour as did Atlanta and Miami. Now the tickets are all over Ebay at a much higher price. I know the feeling your having though. I can't wait either. I caught them for Achtung Baby at the Montreal forum back in 92'. Man that was one great show.

there were a dozen people there (I was not one of them) Bono was drinking with the crowd all night between sets etc. Those were the days for U2. The last U2 I bought was under a blood red sky. Once God became Bono it was ove r for me;)

that could have gotten ignored. He is a tireless campaigner and if only one out of 100 rock stars wants to use his fame to change the world... I think we can survive it!
What he is an example is someone who got rich and then got soulfull. Not something promoted in our culture these days. We are supposed to get mean, and selfish, & back-stabbing if you watch what corporate TV sends out these days.
Who would we rather suffer? Bono or Trump?
Like Roosevelt, or King, or all the other 20th century icons... but at a lower level... Bono is supposed to be erased from our minds. Apparently Karl Rove has a right to decide exactly what my head is filled with and who my heros are. Didn't GROVE NorQUEST just slam "the greatest generation"?

Daily Show group that a poster wanted people to contact advertisers and advise them to pull their spots because "the segments with the reporters just aren't funny." The Daily Show is one of the best things the left has going for it right now and somw assholes on this board would sink it...and because of a lack of a sense of humor. Bono has earned his right to be a god with the production of good music and his humanitarian efforts. And the guy is a good family man. Some people...

They aren't nearly as innovative. Even though their last two albums weren't the greatest, there are still some solid songs on them. And their live shows are still fuckin' amazing.
