Well ladies and gents, I just emailed Harkin and Grassley
Edited on Mon Oct-03-05 01:44 PM by Bluzmann57
about the Miers nomination. I stated that, in my opinion, the lack of any experience in any capacity as a judge should be enough by itself to disqualify her from consideration. I urge you all to do the same. Harkin I hold out hope for, Grassley not so much. After all, Harkin did vote against Roberts.

1. Emailing Grassley is pretty much a waste of time anymore
I do it sometimes myself just to let them know that there are Dems in Iowa. But I never hold any hope that Grassley gives a shit about Iowa or the country.
Jesus, I know high school teachers who are as qualified as Miers. They'd probably be happy to do the job for half price. They'd still be way ahead.
I am frankly surprised the job didn't get outsourced or given to an illegal or maybe have Halliburton fill it. The bushies could take the $150,000, pocket $140,000, and pay the justice $10,000. For that matter maybe they should have given the job to Chalibis or curveball. They have more to do with American policy that Americans do. ( Damn I am frustrated)

2. My husband acknowledged that he too went to public schools
And worked to pay his way through law school and has never served as a judge. Therefore my husband should be a justice on the US Supreme Court. Gotta call George, how'd he overlook this one?

3. I called Grassley to ask what can be done about Katrina's aftermath...
I mean, we're talking day of. And some tired old bag answered the phone and pretty much let me know that I'm wasting her time. Grassley's a hack. He'll toe the party line.

4. I have sent several emails to Grassley
and then a couple months later I have gotten a letter in the mail. By that time, I had no idea what my email that I sent was about. I don't think Chuck knows how to hit reply and just send me an email back. I even thought about telling him to save the trees and stop writing me crappy letters filled with meaningless talking points.
