Front Page of dallas morning news today
We had a chuckle when we saw the article on the latest state ban of same sex marriages next to a photo of bush and the saudi prince holding hands, walking through the bluebonnets...how touching..

1. That's quite a paper
It's headlines are two sports events, one pro and one high school. (I think that says a lot about the town and the readership.) Then below are the two articles you referred to. Someone is quietly subversive at that paper. Good for him.

3. Oh the irony! What about the preacher denying sex and drug charges
and the article about educationa ltesting scandals?

Check out the Hummer vs. Prius story at the top of the page.

This is all too rich. I love those "red state Christian values" of the pastor.

6. I was wondering when the hand holding
would get a reaction here. Now all of us know that's the book jacket for House of Bush/House of Saud -- but that is us. This morning my dear oldster friend called me to ask if I'd seen Bush holding hands with the Prince. He said the news program he saw, even commented on it. I use my friend as a bell weather for the rest of the nation -- a dear man, but not really all that up on what is going on, until I fill him in. Legally blind, he's not a reader, except for being able to read large print headlines, but gets his news from the tube -- like most Americans. Soooo I am assuming that many Americans, for the first time, are saying -- wtf???

7. Thanks, I got a chuckle from that
And yes, I know it's a Middle Eastern custom to hold hands.
