4. Not soon enough. My electric bills are unbelievable. |
|
This months was almost $190.00 and that includes the seven days we were without electricity sleeping in the front yard do to Rita. The worst day it reached 110° and I don't know what the heat index was that day. Both August and September bills were almost $270.00.

Man, I live in a 700 square foot apartment and the worst bill I've gotten so far is $148 (including water, trash and sewage). That was middle of August to middle of September.
$148 is outrageous for me, I guess that's what I get living on the 3rd floor. At least in the winter I can keep my heat way down. I'd rather be cold than hot any day.

9. WEll that is what I get |

I live in a 2200 sq foot stand alone. That does not include anything. But my horse is a lot happier than she would be on the third floor.:evilfrown:

Moving during those 100+ days actually landed me in the hospital with a potassium deficiency! Come on Autumn!

6. This morning in New York |
|
it was the first really cold morning at about 50 degrees. Summer's long gone for us. The leaves are turning colors and everything.
I woke up under a quilt, then got into my fleece bathrobe and scurried to the bathroom. After I got out of the shower and I turned the water off it was so freaking cold that I used two giant towels and swaddled myself until I was warm enough to go back to the bedroom. Got dressed fast... real fast.
This sort of business is why I'm moving to Texas shortly. I can't believe it's still in the 80s/90s there. After a lifetime of freezing my butt of, I'm ready to be warm!

I can't believe it's been so hot for so long this year. (It's still not as bad as the summer of 98, in my opinion.)
But then I do remember many Halloweens as a kid where it was still warm at night. That dog costume made from a sweatshirt and sweatpants was quite warm.

11. 1300 Sq. foot house = $250 electric bill |
|
I noted that my bill conveniently listed the average temperature for September at 97 degrees, compared to last year's average of 82.
This is a freakishly hot summer.
