Vote tallies - am I just being dense? |
|
There are reports of total turnout of aprox 120 million. Yet, if you look at the pop vote total, you only see 113 million. Where are the other 7 million? (twice the popular vote difference).

1. Maybe some voters didn't vote on president |
|
but voted on governor, senator, congressman or some issues.

3. More than 5% skipping a presidential vote? |
|
Sounds pretty unlikely to me.

4. The votes were eaten... |
|
by the machines. I'm working on a story now for the local paper about all the votes my wife didn't see count on the RJ Reynolds Votetronics machines. Some of the machines didn't register a single vote yesterday.

I think your story should be in more than the local paper.
I assume that Bev at Black box voting will get a copy as soon as it is in draft?

Turnout in California estimated at 12 million. PV total for CA is 9.5 million. I don't know how accurate the turnout number is, but that almost 25% absention if true.
