Interesting Poll in Red State Newspaper (MS)
Do Americans appreciate their right to vote?
Aging civil rights-era figures and a bipartisan congressional delegation walked across a bridge at Selma, Ala., Sunday with a throng of thousands to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the historic Selma voting rights march that opened ballot boxes to blacks citizens across the South. State troopers and sheriff's deputies attacked the marchers on March 7, 1965, injuring 17 people as the procession was turned back. Some 74 percent of voting-age blacks in Alabama are now listed as active voters, as compared with 19.3 percent in 1965. Do Americans appreciate their right to vote?

(Go to the left side of the frong page and scroll down - results when I voted were 22.6% Yes/77.4% No.)

4. That's pretty bad
Too many people don't have a clue, eh? Well, those people are a danger to themselves and society.

You could say they ain't wearing their "Democratic Republic Seatbelt" by not participating and not voting.

Fines for anyone not voting is a good idea. Fines and maybe even some Jail time. These folks need to learn a lesson.

not believe that all American's exercise their right to vote. My take on that is many in the red state of MS don't believe the weed should have stayed in office and if others would have exercised their right to vote, he may not have.

Just my take! Don't know how I am perpetuating a myth by reporting a poll?

Hey ya CW, hope you are well and btw, NGU!!!
