|
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 06:30 PM by mod mom
A little more excitement for the election fraud epicenter, Columbus OH
******************************************************************************
COMMITTEE ON HOUSE ADMINISTRATION
FIELD HEARING NOTICE
******************************************************************************
March 21, 2005
10:00 AM
Hearing on the
2004 Election
and the
Implementation of the Help America Vote Act
Ohio State Capitol Building
(Corner of 3rd and State Street)
Senate Office Building
Finance Room
(Finance Hearing Room)
Columbus, Ohio 43215
If you have any questions, please contact Matt Petersen, Committee on House Administration, at (202) 225-8281.
Persons requiring special accommodations should contact Patrick Sweeney at
(202) 225-5726, 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting.
Brief History on Committee:
Amongst other duties, The House Administration Committee is responsible for overseeing Federal Elections. The Chairman of this committee is Bob Ney (R-OH). The committee currently includes 6 Republicans and 2 Democrats.
The Election Assistance Commission (EAC) was formed to oversee implementation of HAVA. The EAC is a four member bi-partisan commission appointed by the administration. The EAC reports to The House Administration Committee.
Central Ohioan election reformers, this should be an interesting hearing. The Committee is chaired by ethics badboy Bob Ney (R-OH who recently came under fire for a $100,000 golf outing in Ireland ) Ney had some strong words for Kenneth Blackwell who failed to appear before Ney's commission "you can't hide". Could we finally get some real questions posed to SOS/Ohio Co-Chair bu$h/cheney '04 Blackwell? Or will the corrrupt administration come to Blackwell's defense? Stayed tuned.

1. Source/link? 2. Is this a US Congressional or Ohio Legislative committee? 3. If US, is this the full committee or just the minority?

3. The job of this committe is to squash any chance ..... |
|
....... that Ohio will really be investigated. If Bob Nye wanted to really to get a look into Ohio he could have given John Conyers subpoena power last fall ...... he chose not to.
The repugs know Ohio was dirty ...... they did it ..... this just lipstick on a pig.
I live in Columbus, Ohio I can't make the meeting but if anyone can ask about the "Texas Strike Force." They were put up by the Ohio GOP in the Holiday Inn across the street from their state HQs.

8. These hearings are not open for public testimony, the committee which is |
|
composed of 6 repugs and 2 dems ask questions to panelists. We can only hope they ask strong questions. Does any one know why this commission is so lop-sided. This appears to be one of our problems. This committee over sees federal elections. :(

7. Thanks, mom. And anything that goes on the record, IMO, |
|
is a step forward, even if Ney is chairing with an agenda to quash real investigation, and the guest list might seem weak except for Tubbs-Jones.
Every time the leftovers from this election are opened, they smell worse than before.
