Ohio Secretary of State Candidate Agrees: Election 2004 was Stolen
I just got back from listening to Bryan Flannery, candidate for Ohio Secretary of State speak. He delivered a great speech addressing the Stolen Election of 2004. Mr. Flannery said the way to insure the accuracy of Ohio's Elections is to use "Common Sense" He cited the exit poll discrepancies, long lines due to misallocation of voting machines, voter intimidation, and of course illegal actions performed by current Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell.

Mr. Flannery even took the time to sit down with me personally and discuss Election reform.I expressed my concern to him that my first vote in 2008 was in danger of not being counted. He assured me that as long as he is Secretary of State my vote will be counted.

This guy is a great candidate that is vowing to fix Ohio's electoral system. Democratic Underground needs to give our full support to Mr. Flannery because he is the only hope we have of a secure Election.

Please Support Bryan Flannery, even if you do not live in the state of Ohio support Bryan Flannery for fair and accurate Elections.

I am asking that each of you donate to his contribution fund, even if its a dollar each, show him the USA Supports him.

1. Hmmm.... still wondering who can bring charges against Blackwell...
I'm sure someone closer to the matter can.

I hope we can get the media on it.

4. Yes He did
He also cited that as Secretary of state he ould not allow voting machine producing companies such as Diebold and Triad donate money to the candidates.

He said it was a blatant misuse of power on behalf of Kenneth Blackwell to act as a bi partisan Secretary of State and be the spokesman for the Bush Cheney 2004 campaign.

This guy is real. this is the first time I have ever had the priveldge to actually talk to someone in person who shares the thoguhts that we share on DU and that is that we will no longer have fair Elections until a Democrat is in the position to make them fair like Secretary of State.

Please Support him anyway you can.

he will get rid of Diebold and ES&S as soon as he takes office..

these machines can no longer be trusted and we must vote with our dollar.. tell him to contact the folks who brought the california style lawsuit against Diebold and won... it's a great way for SOS offices to make money with Diebold damages lawsuits....

I'm concered he is slapping them on the hand versus knocking them over with a hammer... does he really get it???? does he need GA evidence that Diebold sux? tell him to call me...

5. I asked him alot of Specific Questions
Im not sure if anywhere from DU but he did agree a verifiable paper trail is the best way to insure accuracy. But most inportantly when he said the 2004 Election was Stolen I knew right there he was the candidate.

16. VERIFIED PAPER TRAIL IS JOKE if the paper trail is not counted
jeezuz..
please do your homework.

big difference in VVPT and VVPB verified paper ballot.

Please read up on the difference on this board and perhaps visit other election sites that advocate that counting the paper is the only way.

This guy seems like he really needs a full dose of education. YOu can print paper all day, but as long as the software counts the votes, we're gonna get screwed..... it's really that simple.

COUNT THE DAMN PAPER
read lynn landis... she gets it..

10. He Said it in Front of Everyone
I was suprised because everyone around me agreed. Here I was a fifteen year old sitting around hundreds of older people whom I was suprised to hear cheering when he said "Face it, this last Election was Stolen" Then went on to say the statistics just dont add up and how while running against Ken Blackwell himself in 2002 how he took Blackwell into court on several occasions because Blackwell thought he was above the law and regulations of the Election Committee.

I believe with the right support Bryan Flannery has a definite chance of getting this position ecspecially since Blackwell is not running. His hometown is Cleveland, he has alot of support in that area. He's definatley a minority likeable guy.

17. Call Mike Malloy's show tonight!
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 02:07 PM by Bill Bored
"im not sure thats even allowed."

And this will stop him???? Come on. We're talking about Blackwell!

But as far as DU questions, I worked pretty hard on some for you, about how he would audit the vote, assuming you have VVPARs. And you didn't ask him? :(

Good job though despite that. Keep up the good work!

You should try calling Mike Malloy's show tonight.
He's got one of those kids' call-ins on Air America.
Your story will make good radio.
Try it even if you can't listen to him there.

the Oh Gov's race looks? Who is running against Blackwell? Even if it's a footstool, I want to support that person.

Thanks,
B.

19. Get his butt to the Nashville Conference...
We need to hear from him there, and he needs to be there.

Corey, kidnap him if you have to.

You can assure him that anyone willing to publicly say "stolen election" can tap into the energy vein of the Dem rank and file base on a national level. He could well get a Dean-esque response. (Yes, in cash.)

Just get him to show up.

21. And we're going to elect him through a corrupt election system???
Yes, I know Ohio Sec. of State is one of the three most crucial elections in America but you have to notice the irony. How do we keep them from rigging this election too? Congresswoman KKKatherine Harris was elected by her own corrupt system in Florida.

But anyway, Chairman Dean said our three most important races in 2006 are in this order:
Ohio Secretary of State
Florida Governor
PA Senate

I'd like to throw in Tom Delay's house seat too but we'll see.
