Just an Update on Filings in Ohio Federal Court case.

I just checked the docket and nothing new has been filed in the Ohio Federal Court case filed against Blackwell regarding the election that the Kerry/Edwards Campaign joined back in December '04. It looks like it is just stalled, no new filings since March 1, 2005. The issue before the court is whether this court should be transferred to the Northern District and consolidated with Rios v. Blackwell.

1. I was listening to the Best of Mike Malloy......

a couple of hours ago, and a caller who identified himself as an over-the-road truck driver mentioned that Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell was at one time a Democrat.

I don't know if this is true or not - this is the first time I've heard of Blackwell being a former Democrat. But if it's true, I think it's sad that a man would allow himself to be bought and sold like a loaf of bread!

the Defendants (Blackwell, etal) want it to go away and the Court(s) are just sitting on it, trying to decide what to do.

Sometimes publicity on the courts sitting on decision helps, but we know we get no publicity - MSM ignores us. Hell, MSM never reported Kerry/Edwards filed in Federal court, most folks here weren't aware of it.

We could try LTTE but they probably won't publish them.

I am afraid we have to wait. Just imagine how the attorneys and the parties feel! :argh:

SoS "Kenny Boy" went to a Jesuit college here, Xavier University.
Think he played football, may have tried out for a pro team (this
*could* be urban legend, but I think it's correct.) When he entered the political game here (Cincinnati) he was a Charterite,
a local independent party founded in the 1920's to reform the
corrupt machine politics of Boss Cox, a sort of Boss Tweed-type.
He was elected to City Council, early 70's (?), served as Vice
Mayor for a year, then began his drift toward the darkness...from Charterite to Democrat, to moderate Republican, to radical Republican, to the crook he is today. Talk about hubris, he's planning a run for guv'nor! Unless citizens get control of the vote-counting apparatus, he'll steal yet another election. God forbid he should EVER again "serve" as an elected official anyplace...well, maybe Satan has an opening.
His wife Rosa, a career public education official here, has just
been selected (without a search!) to head Cinti. Public Schools.
By all accounts I've heard, she is very capable and is not "tarred"
by her association with Kenny. Time will tell if she can turn around an expensive, failing (in most instances) school system. CPS just laid off over 100 teachers...is this a result of NCLB bullshit? Is she part of the grand plan to destroy public schools?

happened to Ohio Law Suits last week, and then just never did. I figured they'd all been thrown out or something.

Very sad. We had such high hopes.
