Secrets of Voting Machine Testing Exposed-NY Forces Vote Machine Testing Into The Open
Secrets of Voting Machine Testing Exposed!
By Bo Lipari, New Yorkers for Verified Voting
January 31, 2007
New York forces the dark world of voting machine testing into the open

The outrage at the New York State Board of Elections was palpable after the news broke that CIBER, the company conducting New York State’s voting machine testing, had failed to receive accreditation from the EAC, and neither CIBER or the EAC had bothered to inform anyone about this failure. But faced with a threatened subpoena by New York, and growing public and Congressional criticism, CIBER released the EAC reports documenting the serious problems found with CIBER’s testing practices. The EAC quickly followed suit and posted the report to their website

The report exposes in damning detail what voting integrity activists have been saying for years – testing labs have operated in a closed loop system with the voting machine vendors and have used the lack of independent oversight to give us the disaster that is our nation's voting machine testing process.

The report’s findings are damning and will surely cause other states which have purchased and used machines “certified” by CIBER to question the security and reliability of their voting systems. Anyone who knows even a bit about what it takes to test hardware and software to minimally acceptable standards will be shocked by the revelations in the report.

1. Well, yeah. That was the point of them.
A guaranteed permanent Republican majority no matter what the people wanted.

3. Yeah, they're going to reward these criminal Bushite electronic voting corps
with billions more of our tax dollars, to replace, "upgrade," add printers to, and service a whole new generation of voting machines run on "trade secret," proprietary programming code--code so secret that not even our secretaries of state--and not even judges in court cases involving "red flag" stolen elections--are permitted to review it--and require them to provide a "paper trail" and a nearly worthless 2% audit (automatic recount).

That's what they're doing. Diane Feinstein is now in charge of this scam in the Senate. Holt's HR-550. And you can be sure that even its lame provisions are in peril.

In Venezuela, they hand-count FIFTY-FIVE PERCENT of the vote, cuz they don't trust the voting machines. That's why they have a good leftist (majorityist) president and we have an asshole puppet of Exxon-Mobile and Halliburton. The 2% audit in HR 550 is a mite better than current audits--ZERO PERCENT audit in many places, and, in the best states--the best!--1%! But it still sucks.

And how all this came about--the fast-track takeover of our election system by RIGHTWING BUSHITE electronic voting corporations--is still a secret behind the Stalinist "Iron Curtain" that are our war profiteering corporate news monopolies constitute--but let me just hint at it: Tom Delay and Bob Ney were thickly involved. But the part of it that WE need to know about (--I mean, what do you expect from Tom Delay and Bob Ney?) is the Democratic Party leadership's direct involvement (among them, Sen. Christopher Dodd) or their involvement via their MIND-BOGGLING SILENCE at Bushite secret vote counting (Terry McAuliffe--DNC).

We not only need to impeach Bush and Cheney. We need to VOID the 2004 election, and nullify all their works (tyrannical edits, court appointments).

Go, New York! New Yorkers have really taken this matter of transparent elections seriously, while other major states, like California and Florida, have permitted stinky Diebold collaborators to run their elections. That's changing. California now has a good Sec of State. And folks in FLA are getting uppity (FL-13 was stolen in broad daylight by ES&S--18,000 Dem votes for Congress 'disappeared' in an election decided by 300 some votes). But New York has led the way! And for that, they deserve the Nobel Prize for Peace, in my view. Nothing is more important than the phony endorsement of the war that Diebold/ES&S manufactured for Bush/Cheney in 2004.
