NH Recount Problem? No citizen oversight on the ballot chain of custody? |
|
I just read this somewhere else. Any DU confirmation? If we buy into a recount that can be rigged that presents its own problems.

2. Yeah, I saw that, but that is a different issue. |

That is something that was a reason provoking a recount. No trustworthy chain of custody would mean we buy into a recount, and 'they who are in charge' can possibly have a plan for rigging that we who ask for the recount, inadvertently fall into.
Let me be clear, I'm not remotely suggesting this need be done by Dems. The Corporations who rule may have their own reasons for wanting a race one way one place, and another way another place.
I'm only speaking to the ability to believe and have confidence in the process. If there is not a good chain of custody, the recount can be what whoever is able to control it says it is.

4. I've suspected this too. It wd explain the recount dud in 04. |
|
I suspect there's something more than just the machines going on in NH and it has to be connected to the chain of command in some way.
Thanks for starting this Melissa. At least getting it on the table.

5. We definitely got screwed on the recount on Ohio. |
|
2 folks help rig the election and do what, 18 months?... Shrub still in the WH. :puke: LHS has big chunk of the custody from what I hear. I still would appreciate confirmation from some others sources than I'm reading. Are there more holes in the recount process? 'Course, it sounds like the hole is already big enough to drive a fleet of mac trucks through.

6. Bad link - and I hope it's not Bev Harris' org you're trying to link to. |
|
WTF, if this is real why aren't we hearing about it from CREDIBLE election reform organizations?
Anyone know?
If the only one bringing it up is Bev Harris, no thanks, I'll take a pass. But I'd like to hear the other orgs at least ask the question and post the answer, or they lose some credibility too.

in this day and age, what do they do throw the ballots up in the air, send them down town on buses and taxis.
NH can't be that naive, can they? Don't answer that :)

9. Assuming you've got something to count. |
|
Zero votes counted for Ron Paul until complaints were lodged? I'm less than a fan of that crazy asshat (or the rest of the crazy asshat's running as Republics), but I take issues with ANY votes that aren't counted. Any thinking along the lines of "well, he didn't get enough to bother with" leads directly to "I don't like that candidate, so I'm not counting any of their votes."
Since when was a decision to count or not an option in any U.S. election?
