quasi-official "early votes in florida accounted for or not" thread!
don't know if i have the DU street-cred to start a real "official thread" or not, but i am sure many of us are wondering- with televised polls showing a slim bush lead in Fl....

1) are early voting results included in these televised results?

2) what are the exact early voting figures- raw number, and %kerry vs. bush

3) what are your sources for this info?

...from what i remember reading in the Orlando Sentinel, 17 percent of RV's voted early, and kerry lead exit polls by approx. 12 pts. my math tells me this will mean 10,617,000 rv's times .17 times .12 equals...216,587 voters kerry wil gain by early voting- is this an accurate estimate of the margin that we must stay within?
all comments, and hopefully definitive answers, are welcomed.

2. I certainly wish I knew n/t

This is from Palm Beach County:

Total Turnout 452,764 62.06%
Election Day Turnout 402,933 55.23%
Absentee Turnout 49,831 6.83%

These figures would appear to NOT count early votes, unless the early votes are counted in "election day turnout" but who knows if they are included.
