8. Nomar, no loss. He'll be back, but he by no means
carries that team. He's just another great player among several.
The real Cubs power: Lee, Ramirez, Perez, Patterson, the ENTIRE pitching staff, etc., etc., etc.

4. Penny is pitching Sunday at Coors, provided it's not too cold.
Edited on Thu Apr-21-05 12:57 AM by hijinx87
that will definitely help, assuming his arm doesn't fall off. coors probably isn't the place to bring a pitcher back from an arm injury, but there aren't too many since dessens, who is an emergency starter anyway, went down.

but there have been some spectacular pitching efforts this year from LA's starters . . . they have been doing quite well.

6. Am I confused or did you reply to the wrong post?
I'm speaking of the Cincinnati Reds, if that clarifies anything. I wasn't talking about the Dodgers.

7. no, I was confused.

I was going to post the news about brad penny coming off the DL to the original post, and what I did, was well, what you saw.

3. they stole another game

they trailed 1-0 from the first inning, tied it in the 8th, and won in the 10th with a 2 run triple by jose valentin.

9. This Dodger team reminds me an awful lot of the 2001 Mariners.
Fast start, winning games any number of ways, including late game heroics, and winning games at a pace that's not supposed to happen in baseball.
