Okay, you anti-Texas naysayers - pay up! |
|
How much C-R-A-P did I get last week over Texas? "Texas Tech is going to beat Texas" blah blah blah.
Okay, you hosers, pay up! ;)

3. I was a little skeptical, but they showed me a lot |

Compare this to other Mack Brown Texas teams and you get one huge advantage - A GREAT, QUICK DEFENSE. Oh, and Vince is a pretty good weapon, too.

4. I'll probably jinx them but |
|
As much as I hate TT they are the second best team in the Big XII and Colorado is probably third best so It would look as if Texas is well on their way. Can they beat USC? I don't know but they are damned good.

either the Big XII is an overall unchallenging conference this year, or Texas is really THAT GOOD a team. An AVERAGE 37 point win difference? They make it look so easy. If anyone remembers their 1996 Big XII win over Nebraska and their win over Michigan in last year's Rose Bowl, I must contend that when Texas is underrated, Texas is GROSSLY underrated.
I think Texas can kick USC's butt... but that's not to say that USC and Virginia Tech aren't damned good in their own rights.
Roooose Bowl!

6. I remember the first Big12 Championship game very well. |
|
And don't forget that UT won the last SW Conference Championship too.
But people have been ragging on Coach Brown for not winning the National Championship since he's been there. I think this is finally his year.
BTW, how many ranked teams has UT beaten vs. how many USC has? The Longhorns should be Number One!

7. I wrote last week I was betting on Texas |
|
And thank you very much, I did. Minus 8.5 in the first half and I collected after the 31-10 "final." I'm still not sure why they keep playing after halftime.
I'll paste what I wrote in another thread last weekend:
"Tech will get clubbed at Texas A finesse team like that with weak defense doesn't win big road games against legit teams. I remember Texas Tech venturing into Norman a few years ago with similar hype when the Sooners were on top, and it was a 30 point deficit before halftime."
