How long can this go without an overly dramatic ESPN special entitled "What's Wrong With the Yankees?"
...only for them to be in first place come June 15th.
Oh, and the answer to that question? Too much money paid for freely available talent. End.

No Yankee fan but I'm hearing you. Yankees started slow last year also . . . I remember all the gloom and doom predictions . . and then boom they were in first.
Four games is to early to decide how a season is going to go.

On Sunday, they'll lose 7-1.
On Monday, they'll lose 8-3.
On Tuesday, they'll win 14-7.
On Wednesday, they'll lose 5-4.
On Thursday, they'll win 10-5.
On Friday, they'll win 9-7.
On Saturday, they'll lose 7-3.
and on and on.
They have horrible pitching and their bats will only carry them so far.
The Mets, on the other hand...

their pitching is just fine. The 1998 started 1-4. This team will be fine. Worry about your own team that hasn't won anything since I was in middle school.

When they're functioning as nothing but a hype machine. Their talk of "must see" Monday night football games and the future of Barry Bonds would be easier to take seriously if the games, and a reality show starring Bonds, weren't going to be shown by--WAIT FOR IT!--ESPN.
