Buster To Be Aired On Net

An episode of the popular PBS children's' series "Postcards from Buster", that was dropped by the network after criticism by Education Secretary Margaret Spellings because it features a lesbian couple, will be made available on the Internet.

Family Pride Coalition, a national non-profit organization dedicated to securing equality for LGBT families, announced Monday that it will broadcast the episode on its website from March 7-13.

1. Yeah! Now, I'm happy.
This has been a thorn in my paw for a few months now.

2. Hmmm..
My 8-year-old daughter and I watched the entire episode, and you know what she thought it was about???

Having a nice vacation in Vermont and how maple syrup was made!

4. Exactly - that is what it is about.
I'm proud of my kid. She has a friend who has two moms in the household. She didn't even notice anything about that concept last night. She's been taught to be supportive of all families.

Ha, and, Dwickham, I only noticed one minor reference, "...and her partner, ..," mentioned when 'Buster' was in the car and headed to the farm.

I would have approved if they'd had sixteen hundred references to different kinds of families. It was just funny to me, however, what a big deal they made out of a rather vague reference. Could have referred to a business partner for all we know. Funny how they are just looking to jump on something (the radical religious right).
